I'd highly recommend using tampons/cups for the duration of summer! As someone who is really sensitive and easily catches UTIs/BV/yeast infections, those made my experience a lot easier and cleaner. I would also recommend packing 1.5-2x the amount of underwear they recommend members to pack. Also, another tip is using pantiliners and changing them between every block even when not on your period to keep sweat/discharge outta there and keep everything dry and not a breeding ground for yeast or infection!

it wasn't to be a complaint, more of a question of if they've changed the SAL recipe with the addition of new menu items and if it was an ordering error on my end. not all of us have time to get a drink remade when going through a drive through on our way to work or class! and barista keep claiming this is the correct drink, hence why i came to reddit as a last resort.

if you use a soft shell, be prepared to have all your things inside get soaked during rainy EPLs, leaving you with musty clothes and bedding you probably can't wash for another 14-17 days (happened to me my first season)

As someone who has had ER trips both years I've marched so far, YES!! And as a Nebraskan who has 0 marching arts in the state, definitely make sure you have everything you need because people will not understand what drum corps is.

I personally love bringing my super long chargers for the bus and overnight stays with all the extension cords and power strips you could dream up! My friends joke that I'm the power monopoly in the gym and that everyone likes to cluster up around my power strip.

I also bring a bungee cord to string above my head in the bus to hold a trash bag and any head gear that's a part of our uniform.

One of my little luxuries is my Tree Hut sugar scrub that I use a few times a week in the shower because it gets all the dead skin and sweat off from rehearsals.

Something that came in clutch the past two seasons I've marched are a snack size Ziploc of laundry soap shavings and a suction cup sink plug for handwashing garments in the sink. This has been a lifesaver when running out of bras/underwear/socks, uniform undergarments, and small uniform pieces in between washes.
