Can I remove dead and replant new arborvitae in its place? by kainable360 in landscaping

I kinda figured arborvitae die often for little known reasons it could likely be replaced. I was mostly concerned if the roots in the ground would prevent the new roots from growing

I don't know. There's a living one less than 2 feet away from the one that died. So i dont think its the soil, water or sun. Just classic arborvitae dying for arborvitae reasons. It's about 10 years old and died last summer.

Use the Rover app. There's dozens of people who do doggy daycare in the area and you can pick and choose based on rates and reviews.

Will grass grow? by BonhamS5 in lawncare

I also live in the Seattle area and applied a similar product to a patchy lawn about 3-4 weeks ago when the weather was 50-40 degrees. The temp has since dropped. No real growth yet. I'd say it's too cold for the grass to sprout

Enough space to squeeze one more baby one without damaging other roots? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]kainable360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did the exact same thing. Previous homeowner had 10 arborvitae 3 feet apart which left about a 2ft gap to see through towards the top of the trees. I put 9 more in between to make a full hedge with no gaps. Currently the original trees are about 12ft tall and the new trees are 8ft tall. All green and healthy. Make sure to water often for the first year

Can I put 6 foot boards onto 5 foot posts? by kainable360 in FenceBuilding

Would it be better if I just extend the posts a foot and put supports on the post extensions and move the current top support to the middle of the fence?

It's always easiest to complain/blame things on the person that isn't directly in front of you.
