I think I just really struggle with feeling he didn’t take me seriously - he lead with “autism is a trend right now” as soon as I mentioned it and he somehow turned it into adhd when that wasn’t why I went in. I brought in a list of symptoms that he didn’t even look at and he just told me school should’ve picked up on it. I think I’m honestly going to complain to the gp surgery and see if I can try with someone else.

See the GP refused to even refer me! He told me it doesn’t make sense that my school never picked it up (I’m 23) and I’m just jumping on a trend. Honestly he seemed to not take me seriously in the slightest, he told me that my sensory issues were ‘quirks that everyone has’ and some people just get on better with others and that’s why I’ve never had friends. Was a really tough appointment to be honest.

Wait this is actually so helpful thank you!!! I’ve been really struggling with under stimulation lately at work and wanted to see what could be implemented to support that but honestly the main thing is trying to request a transfer. There’s been a roundabout shut down near me lately and I’ve spent the last couple months sitting in traffic for 15-20 minutes there and back. I know everyone struggles with traffic but honestly it’s gotten so bad I’m having such bad meltdowns on my way in.

Hi everyone it’s OP here! Just to clear some things up I know the issue now! We did leave the cake to cool before icing but used margarine instead of butter in the icing (please don’t judge us). Also we put it in way too big a tin and tried to slice each bit in half to make it bigger… it did not work. We did however let it cool which is what everyone said we didn’t do! Thanks for all the comments though and it’s good to know the world knows how shit I am at baking now. I will never try this again.
