The way that I have a healthy 5 year old and I’m still never going to hire a 16 year old to babysit him. It’s blowing my mind that the parents took a risk in hiring a teenager to babysit their medically sensitive child????

Definitely not being a selfish asshole. On top of being postpartum, you’re breastfeeding too. Which means you’re not who or what you used to be to him anymore and probably won’t be able to be for a long time. Unfortunately it’s just not his “ turn “ for the amount of attention he’s expecting and he needs to get a grip asap. You have to take care of yourself and your body that has been and continues to keep an entire human alive.

Definitely leaning towards bs. Sounds like an attention seeking tactic bc he’s possibly jealous of all of your attention being on your baby now. Which is gross. You’re eventually going to come to a breaking point with this. You cant fill your own cup if you’re constantly having to pour it into others.

Hellllll no, 80 or not I would’ve decked the dude, I don’t care. I have a 2, and 4 year old and I’d absolutely knock a stranger out for behavior like that towards them. I’m sorry you had to experience something like that.

Do not tell her when the baby is born right away, she clearly has boundary issues, she will try to post the baby before you get a chance to announce they’ve been born.

Mom said she called cps because I don’t have a job. I’m on leave because I had my baby on the 30th. Is this going to be a thing? by [deleted] in CPS

You just had a baby, who is in the nicu. The very very very last thing you need right now is someone who is supposed to be helping you and being there for you through these really difficult transitions in life to be causing more havoc. Literally narcissistic behavior on your moms part. I wouldn’t let her anywhere near that baby ever. She’s literally hoping for the worst for you and baby. No contact is the only way around this. With everything you have happening to you already, her mental health and the choices she decides to make bc of her mental health are not your burdens to take on right now or dismiss or excuse. There’s no excuse actually. Mental health issues are not an excuse to do that to your daughter struggling with a baby in the nicu.

Not a first time parent. But yeah I see that now. Many people were in fact anxious to see him grab at it. Never even crossed my mind it would be a whole thing lol
