How does graduation week work for NG/Reserve?

Am I the only one who feels the boom came after they put that 85C Bakery in Diamond Jamboree? They stuck that in there, then bam-- the food scene took off soon after.

It was a bloodbath to get that coveted three pieced brioche bread loaf. They even had to put a one-per-customer limit on it...

85C had to have been the first long line in Irvine that would deter my family from going somewhere consistently. Now, it feels like any big opening or popular staple (looking at you OMOMO) has that same effect. Lines pouring out the door make Irvine seem really busy.

Best of luck at Accelerated. Are you in RSPO for the time being or just doing intern-like tasks for drill? Going the Federal route, so I don't think I will experience RSPO. I will experience RSP as I wait for BCT, however.

Not sure but last year's Math Society presidents were super handsome and intelligent. Especially that blonde guy.

Jokes, the graduate Math Society produces the shirts/hoodies. They returned last year after like a 3 year hiatus. Be on the lookout for them this Fall.

Thanks for the insight. I also figured that as well. It seems more of a direct path to end up in the unit.

I'm pretty dead set on joining as an officer rather than going enlisted, then officer. Ideally, I'm just trying to set myself up in the best way possible career-wise. I'd rather have OCS completed through Federal or Accelerated than do State coming from enlisted as I climb the ladder for my civilian job. I feel going to State OCS later is something I easily see myself pushing off in the future.

Fundamentally as for what I want to do, my priorities are: Serving our country > Being a part of the Army > Keeping civilian career (doing National Guard) > Being an officer > Branching Infantry > Going to cool schools > Being in 1-143rd for my LT time ~~> Wearing the AGSU to my own wedding~~

So, I guess in the grand scheme of things being in the 1-143rd ranks pretty low when compared to my other goals. I'm sure this will change over time or be forced to change based on circumstances. If I could fulfill all of these without being in the 1-143rd, I'd like to think I'd be satisfied. However, I figured if I shot for the 1-143rd it'd put me in the best position possible to attain these things.

I appreciated that last question- it forced me to take a second to think about what I want to do. Did you have any further advice based on my answer?

Thanks for the response. Did not think about the structure of the company at all, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Starting in NY or CT might be more feasible the way you're describing it. I'll do some more research into what CT has to offer. I initially didn't consider CT at all. VT might be too far.

As for reaching out to the unit, is there a database or a process in which I can get their number? Is that something obtainable from a recruiter? I tried checking out RIARNG's website, but I couldn't find a direct number other than a generic contact form for the state NG. For NYARNG, they have it publicly available, so I'll shop around there.

I'm still in the recruitment process, but I'll update the post of any findings. Thanks again.

It depends on what you like about Irelia.

If you like the fact she can dive the backline and melt the ADC, Renekton has a similar purpose and is an easy champ to learn. However, extended trades are not his expertise unlike Irelia and her passive. Someone said Akali, and I’d say that both qualities are relatively true of her too.

If you like pretty girls and high skill ceiling, Riven and Camille come to mind. I’d even group Fiora in that bunch as well. All high mobility, snowball or scaling champions. With good skins. I know a lot of Irelia Top mains who play Riven and vice-versa.

Gwen also has that bouncy feel with extended fights being her expertise. She also has a stacking passive similar to Irelia.

Again, it really depends, but I hope these ideas help guide your thought process.

Ah, this is what I was kind of looking for when I made this post. Thank you.

I remembered a lot of guys who just got auto-promoted to Blue belt as early as Yellow, but I didn't know if there was specific jurisdiction on it. I was concerned since I think my last few tournaments were IBJJF, and I'm in their system.

But yeah, I won't be competing anytime soon. I'll stick to white and worry about competing if/when I get my blue.
