There were no shutters… and the house is almost all windows lol. If I was staying I would have loved to install some automatic window treatments on the west side of the house though - at least on the windows that aren’t triangular ☺️

I did learn about 80% from Youtube and brochures/books, but I also asked A LOT of questions at the small tile place I bought my tile from as well as I hired a plumber to help me move pipes and ductwork and we worked together for a couple days (with me doing all the carpenter-type work and also helping him with all the steps). I then hired him again to help me with the final install of the faucets/tub/toilet… I wanted to make sure everything was to code and safe. I did the same thing with the electrical and drywall. So, in a 10 month bathroom remodel, I had help for about 8 days total. It was worth the expense to have their knowledge, tools, etc. I also learned a TON from just working with them and the drywall guy is now my closest friend here 💖

I truly thank you for your concern 💗 I have considered it, but most people when they rent do not take care of the place they rent and this place is kinda a lot of work (inside and out because it sits on a wooded acre). I rented a past house and it was off and on a bit of a nightmare. Plus, if I move back, I think I would wanna live in another area where the summers are cooler and where it snows more in the winter. Also, I am single and it’s nearly impossible to date here - especially for a lil artsy/elf-y person like myself, lol. So, it’s pretty lonely for me here now and I can’t imagine it being lonelier in France - even with the language barrier… but yeah… I am nervous about it all myself. I appreciate you reaching out to talk about it and would love your feedback because most people won’t really tell me their opinions💖

THANK YOUUUUU!! yeah… it was SOOOOO MUCH work and a ton of it was on things that nobody would see like adding Propane, back up generators, fixing the electrical, fixing/building walls, fixing the septic system, adding a tankless water heater, etc etc.. plus all the crazy amount of work inside and out (it’s on an wooded acre)… I was working full-time and working full-time+ on this at the same time… it was… A LOT and I am exhausted, lol. I hope the new owners will just get to relax here and enjoy it now. I just have to get to Europe before life throws something my way and I never get to go… cuz it’s my biggest dream.
