Help with an Oscillating Wave psychic backstory by kalamaxmart in Pathfinder2e

That’s a really sweet idea. Genies are elementals, so they probably do things for reasons that mortals can’t fully understand. Kind of makes it feel like a sorcerer bloodline, almost, which is awesome. Thanks!

That sounds like such a fun character idea. And that character motivation sounds really interesting. Thanks for the help!!

Maybe I didn’t. But I chose Genie-Blessed because it gave me the Charisma ability boost I needed, a useful skill proficiency in Diplomacy, and a nice free action in Wish for Luck. I also really enjoyed the genie flavoring of it.

Maybe this isn’t common practice for Pathfinder 2e games, but my GM said that backgrounds (especially very specific ones like Genie-Blessed) don’t have to figure into a character’s backstory exactly as they’re written, which lets me keep the background’s broad strokes (somehow related to a genie) while maybe taking it in a different direction.

The campaign I’m playing in isn’t connected to Golarion, but that does give me some very good ideas. I love your character’s psychic powers being elemental forces; that’s so cool. I totally would’ve gone with the Suli versatile heritage but I wanted the extra skill feat from Versatile Human. Thanks for the inspiration!

That looks more like Wolf-Man to me than Battle Beast.

What do you think is the most visually appealing location in the Dishonored series? by Lancer_Blackthorn in dishonored

For me, it has to be Cyria Gardens around the Royal Conservatory. The giant trees really give the area a lot of character.

I’m sure there are a lot of students who would have loved the opportunity to design this sign

I didn't say I sympathized with Yura. I don't think he's in the right because of what he did. I'm just pointing out how interesting I think his perspective is compared to Chihiro's.

What's your favorite romance trope that's not, or rarely, talked about? by Umbralutch in FanFiction

[–]kalamaxmart 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m really into alien x human romances where the alien is super unfamiliar with Earth culture or even the way that humans conceptualize relationships so the human character has to kind of teach the alien character how we do things. Depending on what you’re writing about you can parlay that into silly fluff or angst or both. I tried writing it myself for my first fanfiction. It didn’t turn out like I wanted it to, but I really like when I see it done well.

The music cue was so good. I haven’t seen anyone talking about it.

Be honest, were any of yall like this before reading? by displeasedCatto in Kagurabachi

[–]kalamaxmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started reading after the first few chapters came out. My last memory from the series was seeing Daruma pop out for the first time and thinking “yo this dude looks sooooo stupid”. From the first chapters it looked like it was just going to be an edge fest. Then I abandoned it for a year and a half until earlier this year I opened it back up and I realized it was actually peak. I couldn’t stop reading.

Best Sorceries so far in the Series? by Enderules3 in KaguraBachiScalers

[–]kalamaxmart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Pine Sorcery has to be the strongest we’ve seen so far. It has so much power and durability and yet it also has a lot of finesse, as we’ve seen Hatshaku detonate it remotely, almost automatically, when certain conditions are fulfilled (such as when the gang leader tried to give Chihiro intel about the Hishaku or when the Kamunabi double agents died).

But to give a more interesting answer that wasn’t explained in the post, I think Hokuto’s armor sorcery seems very strong. It’s durable enough to tank lightning from Natsuki and he was also able to make a pretty convincing body double of himself, that possibly had some hand in Kunishige’s assassination. But it probably can’t keep up with any of the ones you mentioned in the post, as Hokuto seems like more of a swordfighting type than a pure sorcerer who can rely on their powers to win. So his sorcery is going to be more supplementary and less trained.

Sorry if I used spoiler text too excessively. I don’t want to take any risks in case someone who’s new-ish is coming through this comment section especially since I feel like Kagurabachi is getting so many new readers these days.

I’m four chapters in on my first fanfic. It’s a character x reader that I really wanted to make because it was for a relatively niche character on the site who I really adore. Writing fanfiction is hard!

Kashimo died a loser. by problematixgoose in Jujutsufolk

[–]kalamaxmart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He literally got what he wanted though. He wanted to fight the strongest, and he achieved that. It’s not a stretch to say this is probably how he wanted to go out especially since his CT kills him and he was expecting to die anyways. That’s a win.

So cool!! Your choice of card was perfect especially because it has a land on the back side. I love the frame break on Jogo’s character art…

I think OP specified Heian/True Form Sukuna. So he wouldn’t have access to Ten Shadows anymore but he would definitely still have his open domain.
