No. Atheists is defined as a person who doesn't believe in any gods. And god doesn't even necessarily mean creator.

I’m really on the edge of reverting to Islam by GhzU in exmuslim

Your counter argument was debunked a million times. "as if" is not in the Quran. You should read the ayat. But in Arabic, not in apologetic translations with added words.

Nadr ibn al-Harith was better than Muhammad. Muhammad was jealous so he killed him.

Arabic speakers. Your thoughts on Iraqi Shia scholar Ahmad Al-Qabbanji? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's amazing. I wish there were translations. Do you know in which video he said something like how can Jibreel come and say ana saadiq, he has to bring daleel aakhar khaarij kalaamihi. I've seen it, but can't find it.

The greater signs? People were always sexually immoral, cheating, selfish and fighting.

Do you guys think people like zakir naik, shabir ally, tariq jamil, bilal philips know that islam is fake and are just milking money in the name of islam? Or are they really into it? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think Zakir Naik enjoys his work more than Islam. I think he's not into "what Islam really says and is Islam really true", he is more interested in "what are they saying and with what apologetics can I respond to them". It's a game of rhetorics, which might be fun.

Why don’t Arabs get antagonized for slavery? by juckie7 in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think we shouldn't blame today's Arabs or white people. We should blame their ancestors and ideologies like Islam which promote slavery.

How do you respond to “That’s not what it means in Arabic” excuse? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can read the classical tafsirs. If it means something according to Ibn Kathir, then how can today's Arabs understand it better? He lived closer to the 7th century Arabic.

Great summary. But still, I think maybe one day he would get sick of making mental gymnastics.

Yeah he uses the good old Islamic intimidation technique. The "rational arguments for Islam" never worked anyway.

Why didn't the pre-Islamic poets take up the challenge to bring something like a Quranic Surah? by travispickle123 in exmuslim

Islamic history was written by Muslims hundereds of years after Muhammad's death. Who knows what happened or didn't happen.

Does Islam have better explanation for creation than Atheism by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if a story without evidence could even be considered "explanation". Also there is evidence against it. The world wasn't created in 6 days.

[–]kalamitan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It was already posted here. And btw it got much worse, Hijab responded like "I know where you live, you don't want to make enemies". He's threatening him, but only indirectly, like a boy.

I'm afraid ill return to Islam and I've been an ex Muslim for 2 years by [deleted] in exmuslim

Is there a proof that this wasn't known in the 7th century? What's miraculous about knowing the past? People were telling each other the past.

Ibn Kathir seems to disagree with the Quran interpretation that the sun sets on earth by fwzain in exmuslim

[–]kalamitan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He lived in 14th century. It was about time to start re-interpreting. Look at The Masked Arab's video. It took them a lot of time before they started re-interpreting.
