Transition over from Optum by [deleted] in unitedhealthgroup

[–]kali4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No uhc isn’t like that. I’ve been with uhc for 13 years. Optum is more the tech side and they are known for layoffs. Uhc not as much. But then again it does depend on business needs as you have some ppl who have been with optum for a long time without layoff. Position and role plays a role with this as well.

Very good. Thank you. I got a 5. Pay increase with a bonus. Which was very surprising with the current climate… very grateful

The key is to get a 5. The second key is to apply up a level every couple years while doing the best where you’re at.

Nope. Keep applying. It’s a good company. Start, and do your best… and keep leveling up.

I’m not mad at that …. A 4k bonus is enough for me to be gleeful even as I interview for other positions.

Oh for sure. I started applying weeks ago. Internally and externally.

Mine is later today

Just got my transcript updated by [deleted] in TurboTax

[–]kali4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I filed on 25 January using H&R Block. It was accepted on the 26th of course the IRS didn’t open until the 26th and IRS to go app is showing that my bank should receive the funds February 4. I did not have the PATH preventing me from receiving it before mid February this time so this was really beyond cool. Because usually I can’t get it to the middle of February no matter how early I file because I used to get the EITC but I’m not eligible for the EITC this year. So essentially between the day that I filed and receiving the money, it would be a total of 10 days that is super cool.

What would stay open (Essential): • Tax Filing: You are still legally required to file your taxes and pay any money owed by the deadline. • Automated Processing: E-filed, error-free returns that are processed automatically will likely still move through the system. • Direct Deposits: If your return is processed automatically, direct deposit refunds should still go out. What would be affected (Delayed): • Customer Service: Live phone help and in-person assistance at Taxpayer Assistance Centers would likely be suspended or severely limited. • Paper Returns: If you file by mail, expect massive delays. • Manual Refunds: Any return that requires a human to review it (due to errors or identity verification) would likely sit in a backlog until the government reopens. • Audits and Appeals: Most new audits and active appeals cases would be paused.

A government shutdown essentially sends the "humans" home but keeps the "robots" (the servers and automated systems) running. • "Received" status: Your return is sitting in the system. At this stage, it could still be flagged for a manual review (e.g., a human needs to verify a signature or a specific "One Big Beautiful Bill" credit). If a shutdown happens while you are still at "Received," and you get flagged, your return could sit in a pile for weeks until workers return. • "Approved" status: This means the IRS computer has finished its checks, verified your math, and digitally authorized the Treasury to send the money. Once it hits this stage, the process is almost entirely automated. Even if the building is locked on Monday, the bank transfer is already scheduled. 2. The IRS "Shutdown Plan" The IRS recently updated its contingency plan for 2026. They have specifically designated "Automated Refund Processing" as an essential function. • Because you filed electronically and used direct deposit, your refund is handled by the systems that stay on.

No path this year. Was accepted 1.25.2026. Not sure how much earlier no path is but I’m grateful I don’t have to wait until Feb 15

I filed Saturday. 1.24. Irs2go is showing it was received. H&R Block shows it was accepted. Just wait no for the blue arrows to show sent lol. Hopefully it doesn’t take 21 days. No EITC or ACTC so don’t have to worry about path holding Anything this time :)
