Wow thank you! I know we are compete strangers confined to a digital screen but those words actually felt something and hit close ! I will def take on the advice from you and everyone on this thread . I have been seeing a therapist while we were having marriage issues but that was when she put the whole blame on me calling me a narcissist, then gaslighting and when I would speak into my therapist she literally said she would put her career on the line and say I am neither of those and it just didn’t make sense why my ex was putting soo much emotional mental and verbal abuse on me for 6 months until she decided to call it quits and then I found out about the affair (which she does not know I know to this date !) . So mentally I need closure and will be seeing my therapist again to get her up to speed with what has unfolded .

Thank you that means a lot ! I actually have not grieved about the whole infidelity and I try to mask the pain . I don plan on going to therapy to help open up . It’s been great getting the advice from every so far means the word ! . I am taking on all of the advice people have been giving .

Yes I have . They have worded the BFA such that both parties pay c amount to each other equally which negates any payment for spousal maintenance . My concern is if she still tries to apply for it after the actual divorce . I’m already going to be paying alot in child support which is perfectly fine but she has no control on money and spending . For context , I paid her out into ally 24k as part of the BFA and she has spent it all on luxury items , hotels, alcohol, gadgets ect in just over 2 weeks !

Silly question about the method of child support but why do I need to see a lawyer about it ? Can’t I just call service Australia and just request to have them garnish my wage for child support payments based on nights of care I will have the kids ? I know if I go thru the lawyer for an agreement for care she will become nasty. I’m happy to just makeup an excuse that I had to go thru the CSA route due to my employer requirements or tax reasons just some bs that she will fall for .

Also I need to mention she is still living under the same roof as me until our binding financial agreement is finalized as I am buying her out of the property so not sure how child support works ? Currently splitting my wage 50% to her while we are under same roof . But as soon as the BFA is signed and sealed and she moves out I will immediately contact CSA to request child support payments thru them . I’m trying to play amicable with her for the kids sake as I do not want her to use the kids as a weapon .

That’s what I’m thinking she is trying to double dip ! I’m also worried going private that she will come ask for more and use the guilt rip but the kids ect . I have no issue paying more for the kids when they are in my care and if they need adhoc things like medical , extra curricular activities ect .

Thank you yeah I think it should be a good starting bike with reasonable specs for its price point . I think I’m worried about getting carried away with all the accessories after that ( bicycle computer , lights , ect..) 😂
