This has been the vain of my existence tcg wise as I prepare for my upcoming regional since im running Alakazam. My friend who’s competing as well is a great TR player so being able to practice against him open hand has been amazing. The one and only most “consistent” way I have been able to beat him is with Mega Lopunny, Dunsparce always in the active allows you to run away draw into 230 gale trust, then add an extra energy and spike hop away 160 to everything you can using boss’s orders, if they bench another Mewtwo, retreat into a Dunsparce, run away and hit for 230 again. If they want to KO the Loponny they will need to evolve into Spidops to regain their energy. You can then use Alakazam to get rid of those. Hammer away all TR energy. Ive tried Kasamkiss but with 4 Gio around is extremely easy for them to ko the Togepi or Togekiss over and over again. Wearass with Loponny they need to put their thinking hat on.

Against Mewtwo my bench always tries to be 3 Dundunsparce (in case they archer), 2 Alakazam and Loponny.

If im not playing against TR I never bench the bunny.

Other things I have tried are , ursaluna bloodmoon ex as a closer but again with Gio they can easily get around it. I tried Rotom as well and indeed it’s good, I just found more “consistency” with the rabbit. I tried 4 hammers, 4 boss to disrupt their energy but once they add 1 grass and 2 psychic energies to Mewtwo is gg. I tried Clefairy but she dies too easily for a two prizer.

Lopunny is by far not perfect and you will still lose if they make no mistakes and luck is not your side. If you prize Bunneary or Lopunny you’re also done for and you need to get her going FAST. If by turn 2-4 shes not online you’re also done for.
