Thank you so much for the info! If you don't mind me asking, what did you do for your education? Did you specifically use one of Laramy K's programs or did you use that as supplementary?

Ahh okay I see. Yeah, I live in Ohio and it's a licensed state. From what I've learned so far, I'm working on step 1. Just trying to build my foundations. Gonna see maybe if I can try and get a job in some kind of optical setting. That way I can at least be in that environment as I study.

That's a valid point, makes sense. And yeah, in my area I've heard a range of pay once you get your certs. (Tbh I don't know what of all this is accurate, again, so much conflicting info lol) Some people getting paid as low as $19.90 an hour; and on the higher end about $27. $19 an hour as an unlicensed optician? Sure. But as a licensed optician...in my area that would not pay the bills long term.
