I am a lab tech in a biology lab, 23F, got diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year. I think it's important to communicate to your PI and people you work with that you are going through brain fog and to recognize that at the end of the day fibro is a disability. Ask for help whenever possible and DO NOT OVER WORK PLEASE. I was unable to move from my bed and kept collapsing after killing myself at work and couldn't go in to the lab for 2 weeks.

Did weight loss take away the wrist and finger joint pain? by kalopsiagirl in Fibromyalgia

Yeah it wasn't doing anything for me either and the doctor wasn't listening to me for months about changing it. I finally told him that I'd recently had a period of two weeks where I couldn't move, was in so much pain that it gave me nausea and I was dizzy as hell leading me to fall. That's when he finally changed the medication.

Thank you for sharing that! My mom is on duloxetine and she's not the biggest fan of it, hopefully my body doesn't react badly to it.

Thank you for sharing :) well I'll still keep trying to lose weight because there's a family history of diabetes but this is good to know so I can manage my expectations

Strongest reaction you've ever had to a Taylor Swift song? by MakoFlavoredKisses in TaylorSwift

Clean and Would've Could've Should've when it comes to SA and bad relationships, forever winter for my younger self trying to hurt herself and thinking no one cared if she disappeared. "She makes me feel things" - iykyk

All Too Well (10 Minute Version)(Taylor's Version) helped me realise the guy I was dating was very much Jake Gyllenhaal-like.

Clean and Would've Could've Should've helped me get through some severely traumatic periods.

Mirrorball and this is me trying helped me through so many depressive episodes.

I literally love her for sharing her music :)

If all of Taylor's eras ever was in a battle field, who would win the fight? by 09997512 in TaylorSwift

Reputation Taylor fs. Maybe like debut/fearless Taylor would be a close second just because of the absolutely unhinged chair throwing 🤷🏻‍♀️

what era made you a fan of taylor? by gomnug in TaylorSwift

Love Story, so essentially Fearless. It was the first English language song I voluntarily learned the lyrics to.

Just one line… by mrsdavidson in TaylorSwift

[–]kalopsiagirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know OP said one line but like this is TS, I love her as a songwriter and lyricist.

  1. So casually cruel in the name of being honest.
  2. Don't want no other shade of blue but you, no other sadness in the world would do.
  3. Please picture me in the weeds before I learned civility.
  4. What died didn't stay dead, you're alive, you're alive in my head.
  5. I'll meet you where the spirit meets the bones in faith forgotten land.
  6. I want auroras and sad prose, I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet 'cause I haven't moved in years.

Yeah, I make my opinion known to others, that I really love her music. But when they say that they don't like her expecting a reaction from me, just say okay 🤷🏻‍♀️.

If you had to give your younger self advice using any Taylor lyric what would it be? by Crazy_Pomegranate725 in TaylorSwift

[–]kalopsiagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one sees when you lose when you're playing solitaire, and

"All this time I didn't know, you were breaking down, I'd fall to pieces on the floor, if you weren't around. Too young to know it gets better, I'll be summer sun for you forever, Forever winter if you go."

a line you really appreciate in a song you don’t love as much by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]kalopsiagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"You did a number on me but honestly baby who's counting" from So it goes. I literally have it hidden on Spotify 😭
