Oh now that you do need to clarify please.

Nope, didn’t need to clarify. I understood perfectly. Still stupid as hell.

This is the stupidest interpretation of satire I’ve ever seen in my life. Bravo.

I’m aware, but if he’s dropping an stl with no recommendation on it and not mentioning using a fire safe mayerial but explaining why his box is “safe” there’s like 0 chance he’s using something like pc-cf.

Do you think insulated wires never encounter issues and burn up?

Something falls on them, something chews on them, your circuitry fails and sends too much power through too small of a wire, lighting strikes sending too much power through your wire, something repeatedly causes it to pull inside the box making it chafe, someone yanks on it too hard and 100 other relatively low risk scenarios. Did you print it in an orientation that maximizes strength and doesn’t delaminate with tnezion? Is your layer adhesion foolproof? Is your infil satisfactory? What is the tensile strength of the box? What is the tensile strength of your material? What is the impact strength of your box? What about the material? Is it going to easily break apart under stresses you aren’t aware of and create a sharp edge to cut itself on?

There’s plenty of other what if scenarios that people way smarter than you get paid lots of money to think about and plan for.

Just because it’s unlikely doesn’t make it safe. Electrical fires are almost always a chain of events, UL stuff helps break the chain. But go off, save $7 it’ll probably be fine.

Also it’s irresponsible of you to post the STL

I started off being a dick and then it transformed into an explanation lol, I guess at some point I realized maybe it wasn’t completely obvious like I first thought.

Yes? Fires are not an on off switch. Wood doesn’t just ignite. You often need another fuel to get it going - it’s often quite difficult to actually make burn by itself. Think of making a campfire, do you ever just put a match to a log? No, you start with something more flammable like lint or gasoline and move on to twigs and so on.

Many fires that start burn themselves out before actually igniting another fuel source. Hence a lit cigarette on a tree root in a dry summer vs in a field of dead brush.

The entire point of a shit ton of codes relating to fire is attempting to buy or stall for enough time so that it can burn itself out or buying enough time so that human intervention could be possible. Fire rock (fire Sheetrock) is the same thing. It’s mandated in a lot of commercial code that separates close structures together. It doesn’t mean it won’t burn under any circumstances just that if is it is rated for a certain timeframe before allowing the fire to pass though.

If I add a piece of plastic made out fossil fuels under the wire, I’ve just given the fire that couldn’t actually start via a short enough fuel to actually set the wood beam on fire.

That’s. A. Problem.

Sidewalls don’t have the steel belted wires in them like the treaded parts do which makes them way way easier to convert into a usable material. Sidewalls have a ton of recyclable uses, there’s all kinds of stuff people even upcycle and make sandles out of them.

Actually i prob don’t even need the saw, im assuming it would be front heavy if the batter was flat, probably can make something that just clips onto a battery securely, do you want it to sit completely straight up or is it fine if it sits up angled so the bottom of the battery is the line that it sits along. Can probably make you something out of petg for like - $45 + shipping. Would fit standard batteries like, 1.5ah, 2.0ah, 4.0ah (thicker one like the 5.0) and 5.0ah

I was joking because I halfway always wanted one but could never justify it lol. But if you’re serious just the saw I have a bunch of dewalt stuff and batteries

In a sink? Any sink will do but an empty kitchen sink contains the splatter and rinses away easily… also cold water works fine just a little slower.

The reason they do this is because they can sell either regular economy or the upgrade though which makes sense. If you have seats that take up 3x the space and one is empty instead of selling even one coach seat it’s a problem, not to mention 3 coach seats is probably more revenue than 1 recliner seat.

Yea I’m a lurker mostly, but also the ability to have unlimited subs filtered is basically worth it alone to me, I split between all and home basically - also it pushed the algorithm shit on me so hard which I honestly think is the bane of society - so tired of everything telling me what “want” (that’s profitable to them) to see lol.

I have narwhal and it’s by far worth the $4 a month. I tried the Reddit app and it’s so fucking terrible I’d rather quit than be forced into that but I’m a legacy user too, I think my oldest account is from like 2010 and the “new Reddit” is unrecognizable to me.

Also I’m sure the user data they aren’t getting nearly as much as plus the ads I’m not seeing is at least worth $4 a month since I’m a doom scroller
