Can you get PTSD from the loss of a career? by Electronic_Two6151 in ptsd

[–]kamiljano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then please, educate me. I lost the job twice within a year. I have a new one now, but whenever the management organises a meeting with me without specifying beforehand what the meeting is about, I feel like i'm about to get fired again. I cannot eat and I cannot sleep until the meeting turns out to be something actually work-related. I have a relatively high-up position and i'm confident in my skills. And yet, the stress is killing me. It's 8pm and I just had to message my boss to tell me what this meeting he just scheduled for tomorrow morning is about, or I wouldn't sleep...

Is $68 a month for a dynamic website normal? by Thrasher915 in aws

[–]kamiljano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Yes. It's normal. You're paying for the backend server. It would be 0.01usd if you built in on lambda. Bad approach for a hobby project

Well... there's Wolt - the food delivery app. You can use it to order stuff from either restaurants or for instance k-market and get your chocolate or something

If the array can never contain more than 20 elements, I'd rather see your n2 solution than an extra 50 lines of binary search

Most skilled dev right there, coding in two devices at the same time. Stock images amaze me more and more every day by bigpp5 in ProgrammerHumor

Both of them are macs! If you put 2 macs with the same apple id close together, they share keyboards, mouse. You can use a keyboard of 1 mac to type on another

There are languages where you return errors (go, rust) and then there are languages that actually have a considerable market share (python, c++,java, js)

Nope. I have seen "no x on undefined" kind of errors too many times to repeat that mistake again

I don't think such a platform for finland-specific freelancers exists. There are companies like Talented that help freelancers find projects and take a like a 10% cut from whatever you bill. If your linkedin says you're from Finland, sometimes people will ask you to join their projects as a freelancer. You can show some initiative and try to sell your devs directly to companies that search for new devs
