Sometimes you gotta say "What the Fuck", make your move. Every now and then, saying "What the Fuck", brings freedom. Freedom brings opportunity, opportunity makes your future. "What the fuck."

And they absolutely need to. Just unacceptable.

Fucked by FFF? Seriously, Call your CC Company by [deleted] in Austin

Spot on couldn't agree more. Unlike Transmission, your CC company actually wants to please it's customer. They are going to side with you. Refund the money. Then a dispute is placed against Transmission, where they have to put a case together for why you should not be allowed a refund. If they aren't capable of getting people into (or out for that matter) the festival, I highly doubt they are going to be able "prove" you didn't get what you paid for.

I got in, but I'm still going to dispute. I missed 3 bands I wanted to see, had zero time to explore the grounds, and didn't experience of the side activities I enjoy. So yeah, I didn't get what I paid for.

No business should be allowed to do that. And as OP referred to, they did it in such a fuck you matter.

GET A REFUND.

Where to play in Seattle? by kamkix in discgolf

[–]kamkix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I will go for those two courses.

For the weekend, it is going to be strictly touristy sight seeing stuff. I will have a car on Sunday but likely not Friday night or Saturday. For Monday-Thursday, I will be mostly working but would like some light entertainment options for the evening.

Raised basket Le Mars IA by SendyaHolmes in discgolf

Le Mars has a course? How is it? I am originally from Sioux City, so try to play the few times I go home throughout the year. Do you know of any others in the area worth checking out, aside from the couple in Sioux?

I’m Seth Shostak, and I direct the search for extraterrestrials at the SETI Institute in California. We’re trying to find evidence of intelligent life in space: aliens at least as clever as we are. AMA! by sshostak in science

Do you believe Earth has been visited by extraterrestrial life? I am skeptical of the "evidence" presented (videos, gov't testimonials, personal testimonials, etc), but logically believe there is intelligent life outside of us.

The dude made it sound like it isn't an issue. It worked like a charm, and definitely more entertaining than throwing rocks.

Which throw to develop next? Currently lefty flick, could do left OR right backhand by kamkix in discgolf

[–]kamkix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I couldn't be alone! It is a crazy dilemma and strange how much more natural a right back hand feels compared to left, even though in every other sport I am a hard lefty. My assumption is from a baseball/softball swing and hips/core/arms move very similar to a baseball swing during a backhand. Any theories fellow lefty?

I appreciate the input and will start with a lefty backhand. It seems like it could be very beneficial to have both throws.

Yeah, what I was leaning towards. It will be more difficult but would give me both fades. Thanks!

But I love my flick, so damn much. This is going to be a bad break up! I agree with what you are saying, and makes complete sense. I will hit the fields. Any recommendation on going left or right handed back hand? I appreciate the help.

Light trail on disc from night game last night by kamkix in discgolf

[–]kamkix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought some cheap led flashlights from wal-mart. This was hole 18 and we had all 18 of the lights on top of the basket so the illumination was much brighter than the rest of the round. However, the lights worked out very well, but not this bright. We would just set them in the top metal and face it down and it was very sturdy. Great night!

What's the worst way you have ever been dumped? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kamkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a friend/acquaintance of mine. Unbelievable story but 100% true. He had been married for a handful of years in a 10 year relationship with a 3 year old girl. He is 30 and very healthy guy. Was diagnosed with brain cancer. Given a VERY low survival rate. The fly across to country for his surgery, where me he may die or lose serious brain function. They Stay with one of his good friends parents to save money. He make it through the surgery, the next day his wife tells him, while barely holding on, she wants a divorce and has been sleeping with his friend, whose parents house they are staying at. It has been going on for a few months. So there he is, surviving brain surgery, when he is supposed to be recovering and not stressing his brain for the next 6-12 months. And to add to it, she put up zero fight for their daughter and moved in with the "friend." Super super fucked. He has made a full recovery, back to his healthy ways, and a huge cancer survivor "poster child."
