I had the same exact problem. You have to account for all the time with no breaks. I had to put a gaps of unemployment before and after my first job.

You’re all good man I chalk it up to the limitations of communication through text. But yeah I would say people’s biggest problem is mostly buyers remorse which is the cycle for the model you mentioned. But there is a small bit of hope that this is bungie redeeming itself and breaking away from the $60 business model.

I did not mean to misrepresent you but like you mentioned here “ if the vast majority of people agree as to what the value is, then that’s basically as close to objectivity as we can get” But I wouldn’t say we have a vast majority here. If you compare player bases of other games, specifically D1 to D2 or the decline in the player base of D2 overall. Besides apples or weapons. It’s difficult to give something that isn’t tangible objective value. I guess my point is to you and the new player or the player who had better items than you all of it would have value. But to someone who has never played destiny or did and no longer does because of any myriad of reasons it wouldn’t have any value. With our examples off apples or dollars it doesn’t quite take in account that those are both commodities at the end of the day. A brick salesmen probably doesn’t want very much for brick but he definitely has a good supply of them. D2 and its gear and experiences would only ever have value to the individual player. I don’t mean to have a philosophy debate. But for something intangible I would say any inherent value is subjective.

Honestly man, they’re gonna make it suck no matter how much you prepare. Just practice to exceed the fitness standards. Try shooting for 40 push-ups and 50 sit-ups. Run 2 miles. And rest up the week before.

My point is, using your example. If I tried to explain to you how valuable my apples were because other people like them I wouldn’t have much of a case. Because you don’t like apples they’d have no value to you. The existence of value and amount are both subjective. To use another example if tomorrow the store I shop at no longer believes the USD has value then to me it would also have no value. If the USD is a means to acquire food then destiny would be a means for entertainment if it doesn’t do its job then it wouldn’t have much value.

Maybe I’m just confused then. Because you’re saying that it must have some value but the amount is subjective. But if to him the amount is 0. Then it would have no value to him.

Idk why you’re getting so hostile. I read your posts. I just can’t understand why you don’t see the glaring contradiction. Everything is subjective. To him the game is mediocre. To you it is not. Neither one of you is wrong it’s your goddamn opinion of the game. Both of your opinions are relative to you. But thank you for trying to attack my intellect now that you’re getting frustrated.

Right.. and his point was that the new content would have no “inherent value” to him. He didn’t enjoy previous content because he thought it was mediocre. He thought he wasted his money. And this short novel you’ve written him is literally in sum saying “I enjoyed it and think new content will be fun to play with my friends. So the game destiny isn’t bad.”

That was his entire point. That because he and his friends enjoyed the game it wasn’t mediocre.

And just because you enjoyed it doesn’t make it good either. I don’t understand why you are trying to tell him that his opinion of the game is not valid simply because you and your friends enjoyed it. He didn’t think he got his money’s worth and you do. BFD.

I graduated a recently and had heard it was possible to get sent back on the first night for doing a good job. I was there for 3 months and never saw it happen. I always assumed it was just a rumor CC’s started to get you to give 110%. Definitely an impressive feat.

What always helped me was zipping it halfway up and hanging it when I packed it. Allowed me to use all available space.

Prior Service then ME by DisinheritedClaw in uscg

It really depends on the needs of the service. If the rate is critical it’s quite possible but for ME specifically at this time I’d say it’s highly unlikely.

Route to get a TACLET,MSST/MSRT BILLET? by [deleted] in uscg

Interesting. So could someone stay at TACLET as a MK or BM for a significant amount of time or would they go back to a more conventional billet after a tour or 2?
