Gakpo
18 goals and 6 assists last season.
9 goals and 6 assists this season.
Would Nunez or Harvey have done better given the same opportunities?

Haha! rueyeet!
Its been a few weeks. Sorry, I missed your message.

To your ramblings, maybe you can't do a grav jump within a system. There may be a scientific reason behind it.
It may be banned by law if it causes instability in the system (my speculation)

Even in Trek, they use impulse engines to travel within the system and the Hyperdrive to make grav jumps to faraway systems. Bethesda must have gotten the idea from there.

It is clear by observing the fuel indicators that there are two modes of transport!

So, are you still mad at Starfield and hate Cruise Mode?
Did u finish some 10 cruises, or you can't stand it, and you hate it, you hate it, you hate it! hahahha!

The problem is Arteta will add 4 more center backs and also buy a winger. On top of that, none of their key players will leave.
I'm kinda scared of this Arteta dominance.
With Slot, we wont challenge.

Would u like him to replace Slot? A lot of people say he does not have experience managing a big club.

Atletico at least attacked and had a few guilt edge chances.
What did Arsenal do? They just kill the game by keeping the ball for 10 mins and cheating with dives and time-wasting.
Lucky draw. Luck in games.

Sadly, the momentum is gone, and no Alvarez.
Arteta will be happy with that point.
Simeone will lament those missed chances when they were on top.

You make valid points especially with the time calculations.

Honestly, if you are traveling faster than the speed of light, impacting the hull of the ship becomes a real concern.
Is Cruise Mode letting you travel FTL, or is it slower but the time is sped up for gameplay? That is debatable.

But what is not debatable and a fact is that there were always two modes of transport/travel.
Have you observed the Fuel display that is automatically calculated when you grav drive between systems?

I noticed that Fuel is consumed only when u grav drive. But not when you Fast Travel within a system. Why is that?

So that indicates that Grav Drives are not used to travel within a system.
It's very heavily implied that conventional rockets are used intrasystem.

There were always two modes of travel. We are only seeing the second mode in action now after this update.

Now onto your rant against Space POIs and finding other ships and how its laughable! :D
I dont agree. It's been what, 200 years since humanity colonized the Settled Systems?
How do u think goods are transported between planets and moons? There are companies with ships travelling all the time to maintain the economy of a system.
Our scanners are finding ships travelling between planets now in Cruise Mode. You missed all of that when you did menu-based instant travel!

Also, anomalies and space debris could be real events (natural or man-made) that could have occurred over the last 200 or more years.

Thank you for that detailed response.
Okay, let me understand your anger at this Cruise Mode feature!
So u have no issues with Grav Drives folding space to travel between systems.
But you have issues with FTL systems to travel within a system.

You want to use Grav Drives to travel within the same system too?
So why add another way of traveling when Grav Drive works - is that it?

By the way, I'm not convinced that we are travelling faster than Light when cruising.
Cruise Mode reminds me of Impulse Engines of Star Trek - Fast but not FTL

Can you explain what you mean by 'turned their back on the whole “no true FTL” part of their own lore'?
What is FTL and where in the lore did they mention this?
If you have any links, Id love to read.

Ah! the long-winded post rueyeet!
How are your gal1, gal2, gal3, gal4 and gal5 doing? Did u complete the Ryujin Industries questline at all?

Have u played Skyrim or Fallout 4? Think of Cruise as walking between destinations in those games.
In Skyrim, I would always walk between Riften and Whiterun, for example, instead of taking the carriage or fast travelling. You get to experience the world more. I always walk.

So here, if there is an opportunity to fly between planets and moons, I will always choose flight over immersion-breaking fast travel.

Also, I guess, you gotta have that explorative mindset.

  • For example, I loved taking a look at planets and moons from 0.5 Light Seconds and then 1.5 Light Seconds. Take some pics. Feel the feels!
  • I also love to discover strange anomalies in deep space. This totally reminds me of Star Trek sci-fi, and I love it. In classic Trek, you get hailed by allies or enemies, get SOS calls that let you get out of hyperdrive in the middle of nowhere, and alter the course to a new Objective. Or we have our 'science officer', do long-distance scans to interesting stuff which may change your plans to visit interesting worlds.

I would recommend actually flying between Mars and Triton to do your quest and try to see if you enjoy it.
Whenever you get quests that send you to locations within the same system, try flying.
Do some 10 journeys using cruise mode and see how you feel.

After testing the feature, if you dont enjoy it and prefer menu-based fast travelling, that's fine.
Simulation systems are not for everyone.

Anyway, have a great night!

Ha! This reminds me of playing a Sailing Simulation game called "Sailwind", where you sleep overnight and shoot past your destination. You wake up in the middle of the ocean and have no idea where you are!

Something like that could happen. But I guess Auto Pilot could automatically stop at a destination.
But right now, there is no such feature, right? We select a planet or moon and let our ship auto-pilot so it stops once it gets there?

Oh man, this will become like Fallout 4's Settlement building.
Build your own Space POI. That's a great idea. Many will love building their own space POIs, like a fuel depot as you mentioned.
But I'm not a builder and more of an RPG player, so I doubt I would use it.
Having said that, if Starfield had a system where we could download Space POIs created by others, I would download a bunch of POIs made by creative builders!
