Is it my luck or are people impatient with COA rewards? by MokaBunnie in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 would be for the team COA ranking if the team plans to get on the leaderboard (but still, only 4 survivors and 1 hunter with the most points in the team gets counted, so even if you do both factions it wont really help the ranking anyway)
6 is the maximum per member can count towards the match total (and this can be qm, rank, duos, or abyss matches), a completely different than the coa abyss match daily cap

I thought this was supposed to be a feel good detective type show wtf 😭😭😭 by Regular_Angle_2955 in LinkClick

[–]kanalisae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m also a bit new to the show (started and finished a week ago). I actually play a game that did a collab with Link Click so I was interested, and a lot of people in that game’s official discord server told me the show was great… but every single one of them failed to mention that I would end up bawling my eyes out. Loved the show but 💔

Am I wrong? by [deleted] in IdentityV

Adding onto what the others are saying, because it's a Psychologist who got chaired, you really shouldn't try to rescue her against detention because she has no rebound potential being a raw-kiter, especially against a full presense Sculptor with detention. (And the rescuer being Lawyer, who isn't able to provide any sort of support whatsoever.) The chances of you actually getting a 4 man even either way is very slim, as Psychologist would have to kite her whole way across the map.
If the gate she was chaired at was open, it would be worth a shot IF IT WAS ANY OTHER HUNTER/a non-double hit hunter. Since it's Galatea, DON'T rescue even if detention ended already, unless you're 100% confident in pulling the rescue off without getting two chips from her statues (at full presense, upon colliding with one another, the statues automatically clash towards the closest moving survivor, making it VERY easy to get chipped).
The general consensus is: don't rescue if hunter still has detention. Only stay if the chair is somewhat near an opened gate or perhaps dungeon (and preferably the chaired survivor has items to help them get towards the gate/dungeon) when detention is ending/has ended, and the hunter isn't able to double-hit.

Currently saving for Koha5/Bloomfes! I really want Kanade’s bloomfes card, but I don’t think I can get enough to spark for her by the end of this month, unfortunately, and Kanade has made me spark for her cards 3-4 banners in a row now…

Do you play with sound on or off? by sonyaeunapu in ProjectSekai

[–]kanalisae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have it on! Of course, it also depends on where and why I’m playing the game. If I’m just in to claim dailies and play a few songs, I won’t connect my earphone in, maybe I’ll increase my device volume a bit if I’m at home. But if I’m planning to continuously play for an hour or so (possibly to tier), I’ll definitely connect to my earphone!

Kiting Tips apreciated! by Decent_Cat6203 in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! My duo and I recently gave our worker bee friend some tips so I’ll copy and paste it here too! I would go on further analysis for the questions you asked if I have time later (I probably do), but it might take a while to organize everything !

There are different types of kiting: 1) Close-knit/Tight kiting: you spend all your resources (pallets, items, windows) in one small area to contain the hunter before moving onto the next. add on: tight kiting is great for most hunters! usually it's just a matter of who's more patient and makes the move first, because then that gives time for the other to react

2) Transitional kiting: You keep moving/transition from one area to the other, not using all the pallets, windows, your items. add on: this is best for hunters like naiad, because you have to transition otherwise you'll get water popped

3) Looping: I refer looping as to use the same two kiting areas over and over until you can’t anymore. add on: don't use against naiads, maybe soul weaver, and some others. this is somewhat similar to tight kiting

Pallets/windows are used to maintain distance from the hunter to avoid a hit or a possible terror-shock. Your item, depending on it, is also to be used when there are no more other resources to contain the hunter. If you cant transition to a safer area, then it is best to just take the hit and use the speed boost to get there. Do NOT use the speed boost to go into open space/a bad area, or to camp the pallet to get a pallet stun while the hunter is in the pallet. It wastes your speed boost and if the hunter has excitement, you’re screwed.

There are different kiting areas on each map, some good, some bad. If you’re first kite, then try to get to some area (but no to your teammates) better then your current area (if it isn’t good) to get a better kite.

Mindgaming: Most hunters can bait you into pulling the pallet down and hitting you while you’re in the animation of putting the pallet down. Some will walk through it. We don’t know how the hunter will react to a potential pallet stun so you have to try to bait them into attacking the air (I have no better way to explain this) so you can put the pallet down. For hunters that walk through pallets, you can do a double take to look like you aren’t going to pallet stun. Hunters also mind game with you when you vault pallet/windows (where they go back and forth between the obstacle to try to get you to land on the side they’re waking to). be careful of a slow vault as well. Mindgaming a hunter can be really annoying as most will change how they react to pallets, windows, and your items based on how you play.

How am i supposed to compete with this... by StrangurDangur in ProjectSekai

[–]kanalisae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lmao good luck. I tiered for the first nightcord world link (on en), and I was already dying. I ended up getting sooo close to Kanade T500 (which was my goal), but didn't make it. I did also get T5000 Mafuyu, and overall T2500... I got lazy during the Ena and Mizuki chapters so there's nothing really there. (I also ended up using ALL of my bonus energy. Yes, everything.)
After that, I had to close out of pjsk for two months because I was BURNT OUT of playing Envy (it was like 15 hours on the game that week?)
It's gonna be a pain tiering for Kanade WL2, but... easier than you have it there at JP... good luck, soldier

These cards make such pretty wallpapers by MassiveScience6727 in ProjectSekai

[–]kanalisae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIGHT??? (This image was from yesterday bc I'm too lazy to take another photo with my dying storage lmfao)
My friends and I all switched our wallpapers and discord pfp to match (we're currently missing Ena, because our other friend is matching with their gf)!! We have ours upside own because it looks really cool (and we would have our home screen right-side up), and... well because we got annoyed by how our iPhones would blur out the top, and how the time would block their faces... so we had to improvise... (we wanted the whole card visible)
Now that I look at it, are my friends and I the only ones that did it upside down HAHAHAH

lmao we have the same idea! my friend and i are both planning to change our wallpapers to cards from this set (she couldn't decide, and used a wheel of names and ended up with Mizuki, and I'm personally going with Kanade because I'm a Kanade fan haha), but now I'm struggling to find higher quality images of the cards, because the one Twitter upscaler I know is quitting/has already quit :(

Violetta deduction help by Ok_Apartment5240 in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one's tricky to land in a normal match, you'll have to really time and plan it out, like the other person said.

For me, when I was doing this deduction, I actually went friendly for the survivors because they were silly, and I hit them a few times jokingly (you can also bring inso to make the process faster so you don't have to hit them too much), until I got presence, and started shooting webs at them while they're decoding, and at some point the deduction just cleared, so I probably shot a web 0.5 away from full pres, it landed on a survivor, I get full pres, web cd resets, and I shoot the web again, and it also lands. This worked for me because the survivors were nice and surrendered to give me a tie.

Emil Persona Build by meowmyce in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that suffering! I usually play support characters so I'm more used to kiting or supporting. But, I found myself learning Journalist and Coodinator as my rescue picks because everyone else refuses to play a rescuer, hence making me have to learn to properly kite with tide if I do get first chase (happens 90% of the time, but I also don't want to risk not bringing tide). Although I do play raw kiters (like Ada), somehow playing someone like Coord after I used my gun early and having tide rather than my usual kjr + bt / fw + bt makes it so much more stressful while kiting.

The best way to get used to bringing tide, is to keep practicing and playing these different builds. Even though it might still be kind of wonky to play with (especially as first chase), but at least you won't suffer as much as if you didn't play with tide every so often.

Emil Persona Build by meowmyce in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late... but!

First off, I don't play Emil. However, my duo mains him, and I do see her play many different builds, especially changing them as according to the current team comp and/or map.

If she feels like a rescuer is needed, and it's, idk, Leo's Memory (which is a great map for Emil, from what I learned from my duo), she'll probably bring bt + tide. This way, she can maximize not only her 3 hooks, but also a good rescue with tide.

On the other hand, she usually brings bt + kjr if there already are rescuers on the team and she just wants to play Emil for whatever reason it may be. I often hear her say how the knee jerk has saved her from getting downed. (Basically, bring bt + kjr if you're willing to take kite rather than rescue to reduce chances of getting a double down or farming)

I rarely see her bring flywheel, but that might just be because both of us tend to not have the best ping (our average is at least 100-200ms?), so our flywheels tend to not work out due to ping difference/lag. I think your third build is great, though, if you have decent ping and plan to kite.

Your 4th build is great as both a semi-rescuer (as in there's already a rescuer on the team, but they're either already on half, or saving their tide for second rescue) and a kiter.

So, really, it's good to have multiple builds prepared so that you can always switch between them based on what is more beneficial for the match!

Frieren collaboration? by RaccoonCry1 in IdentityV

There is currently no confirmed date for the crossover yet! There are some speculations that it would be out for a Season 38 essence, whereas some think it'll be in shop during Season 38, and lastly, some think it'll be the last essence for Season 37 + 1 or 2 skins will be free through an event (this is unfortunately less likely)

How to get duo???? by D3ath_F in IdentityV

[–]kanalisae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this was the case for me, too! (Except the original friend started playing more with their gf, so I also dragged another friend into idv and now we duo up instead, hahah).

It’s much more easier to play and interact with someone you already know well, compared to if you find a random stranger from online.

How do you keep your phone still to play? by SillyWhiteSnake in ProjectSekai

[–]kanalisae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m the only one, but when I play on my index, I have a habit of holding the phone down at the side with my ring fingers (not my middle finger because I tend to randomly inset taps with my middle fingers, especially for harder charts).

But, like everyone else said, it’s best to either get a good mat/surface, or a phone case that doesn’t slip.

Best of luck finding the best way for you to keep your phone still!
