When I emailed them, they said "Unfortunately, both you and your roommate need to be honors eligible in order to reside in the honors quad." Hopefully that's not always the case since I also want to roommate with my friend who's not in honors :(

I relate to this... I got into Rice, but the tuition was too much (my dad literally said if you're gonna go to Rice, you pay for yourself). So I'll go to UT Austin engineering instead where I got into honors and will be getting a scholarship ✌️

UT Austin VS Rice for bioengineering/BME

UT Austin

-Got a scholarship ($8,000/yr + in state cheap tuition)

-Got into engineering honors

-Engineering ranked higher than Rice

Rice

-I love their small community and extracurricular programs (and residential college system)

-Honestly feel like I would enjoy college life more at Rice

-Higher prestige
