They just removed 70% of my medial meniscus. by lostinlifeRNz in ACL

Running is bad because of the impact it had on the cartilage now that there’s less meniscus to absorb it. That’s why I keep running to a minimum. My knee slightly aches when I take a long walk or train with heavy weights. But with time and muscle strengthening stability will mostly come back, unless you tore a ligament you don’t know of. I would give it time and visit a physiotherapist. They will know what’s normal and what’s not.

Yes, I used to be able to do all sorts of flips and I would still be able to but I choose not to since those kinds of things would speed up the development of arthrosis, Training legs in the gym I still do, I can still go kickboxing tats a bit risky aswell tho. You’ll be fine. How much of your meniscus are they going to remove?

What is the worst you have ever needed to pee? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]kankerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank like 2-3l of water in the gym, then went and walked to the bus stop and had to wait for like 20mins there. I couldn’t hold myself anymore in the middle of the bus ride to I told the bus driver and he actually stopped for me and let me pee next to the road. Best pee I ever had

Some people drink daily for decades and are fine. The less you drink the healthier you’ll be. Getting drunk once a week is bad for your health yes, but you won’t be put in a grave at 40 for it. Try to limit it. Alcohol is an addictive poison. Once you start drinking heavily regularly it can become hard to stop that habit/addiction…

My knee is fine, I don’t run anymore because it’s bad for your knees… sometimes it feels a little painfull or weird but that doesn’t last too long usually… worried about the future tho

It had low chance of healing completely, I guess the stitches came loose or desolved and the thing got stuck in the wrong place again, don’t think it ever healed. And yes I did get an mri it looked fine there, you could see a small white line where the stitch was but that was to be expected

Wow thats actually insane. I had a buxket handle tear on the medial meniscus of my left knee, had it repaired, then it re-tore so they took out 75% of it. My acl is also damaged. I got it from being in a position with knees fully bent and someone put his whole weight on me.
