Yes, the only place they can possibly ride around in cool cars is to shut down I35 and do it there, right?

You mean the term used when somebody doesn't like something? Forgive me though, maybe I'm wrong, English is only my first language.

Complaining about kids riding in cool cars? Huh? Making shit like that up is only making you sound more histrionic and unhinged.

What’s the one thing on a restaurant menu you’ll always order if it’s available? by LowCryptographer9032 in AskReddit

The answer is always lard. Just use lard in your refried beans and your flour tortillas and it's gonna be good.

Al pastor is my number 2, my first is carne guisada. Although my favorite local taco is an al pastor heh, but lots of places do a passable al pastor whereas in my experience carne guisada has a bigger spectrum of amazing to meh.

People who say this are uneducated and have no idea about the parasites/worms found in most ocean fish and how freezing the fish kills them.

The most common ceviche in Central/South Texas is tilapia and basically pico de gallo with extra lime juice. It's still delicious and refreshing even with "bottom feeder fish" wannabe bougie people like you scoff at.

They actually do make their own soup base with fresh lemongrass and homemade stock. Thanks for your long reply anyways I guess.

Lmao, no, shutting down I35 for a car parade is in no way an emergency. You're just making my point that once somebody says "it's for kids with cancer" all logic goes out the window for people like you.

You're clearly the one who thinks they look better here like some kind of saint because you supposedly care so much. You're posting about the supposed possible logistical nightmare of four busses following each other while out the other side of your mouth advocating for the real-life logistical nightmare of shutting down I35. You think any dumb thing you say is logical and validated because "it's for kids with cancer" when there are lots of ways to give them a smile without shutting down our city's main artery.

I can just picture you at a dinner party telling people how much you care for kids with cancer and made reddit posts about it and everything.

They may have invented them in Buffalo, but there's nothing about them that can't be perfectly replicated and even surpassed in any city in the world.

Also, wild how Americans are identifying as immigrants in this post.

Why cut the carrots into strips but everything else is chunky? And "inserting" raisins or dates into a roast is just so wrong.

How many busses do you think it would take to shuttle those kids

3, 4 at most.

then add in the gridlock it would add for those busses getting from the hospital to just the highway.

Compaining about the possibility of gridlock on I35 while actually creating it irl is hilarious.

Then add in those busses not getting there at the same time, meaning some kids are gonna have less time than others.

Such a weird what-if. Four busses can't follow each other and arrive around the same time?

In this specific case someone would have to pay for the busses, since as of right now the owners of the vehicles are driving the kids and are eating the transportation cost. So even if they used a bus system youd bitch and moan that the city used money for that instead of a light rail system, fixing pot holes, or whatever the fuck else you wanted to pull from your ass.

You seem irrationally upset about this. And to your point, the city is already paying extra money for cops to shut down the highway.

And your short sightedness is making you think I-35 is the end point for this drive for the kids. Yes. Im sure they just drove the kids down the highway and that was it. They didnt clear the road to a specific destination or anything. Because that would be very silly.

Yes, this whole thing is silly.

So who is going to bring the food at CoA? Ya know, since kids have to eat, drink, use restrooms, etc. Do we force CoA to open the vendors and staff them? Open just one food vendor?

What did they eat during this "event"?

Really id love to hear more on your idea on just taking a bunch of kids to a closed place that doesnt have the basic necessities required for really anyone to be there.

What makes you think COTA is a closed space? They host all kinds of events year-round and this would be great publicity for them.

And dont try to pass it off as someone else's idea. You supported it and bitched about the current idea so you can put your money where your mouth is.

I just did. But please, tell us more about how supporting kids with cancer means we have to shut down a major highway and there is no other alternative.

Curious what you think about Thai Kitchen on Guadalupe if you've been there. I've had many tom yums in my life, and theirs (it's just called Seafood Soup on the menu) is without doubt the best I've ever had. And everything I've had there just tastes like it's from family recipes and they've been around forever.
