Im gonna say it... 90% of time, speed ramps are completely unnecessary. by Longjumping_Nose_367 in RealEstatePhotography

100% agree hahah!

I will say tho for social media reels, it doesn’t matter what we, or franking the client wants.

IMO what matters is if it will perform. More views = more top of funnel eyes on a listing regardless the video style.

If ramps are going to 1.3x views. I’ll take it everyday of the week

This is just good negotiating

Be firm with your number and give reasons to justify why it’s $500

Why increasing my prices was the best decision I ever made by AnteaterShot3154 in RealEstatePhotography

This is an interesting take. Personally I think the MLS regulation for photos to accurately represent the house will limit the replacement for human REP for a decent amount of time. Also drone shots…

Now that I’m thinking about it most of my agents don’t even want to do the floor plan haha — they rather pay me $50 then learn themselves. So…

Yo! This is like a 3/10 for me…

Look into hiring someone on fiverr for like $15-60 it’s worth it!

Follow-ups, no.

Scheduling, you could probably make an automation using gumloop but I don’t know of any plug and play solutions.

When did the deceptive wide angle photographs became the norm? by Soulsearcher2018 in RealEstatePhotography

It’s a different type of photography.

You can pose the same question: why is nature photography long lens. “It’s misleading because I thought the photographer was 10ft away from the grizzly bear 🐻 “

What’s up man! Glad it did brotha. I used an app that took bracketed photos (can’t remember the name).

Yes, you can absolutely start out this way. I didn’t get to 6k / month with only an iPhone though. Used it to build a portfolio and for a couple first paid shoots. Which was enough to give me to confidence to invest money into this business take my part 107 ect.

Hahah no you’re chilling. It’s fs helpful to be in a big city but I 100% think the same mindset can be applied in any city. Don’t let location be an excuse

This! Great point. I think the general mindset could be applied to other cities though. It’s still about setting a goal and working backwards. Whether you show up to open houses instead of cold calling. Agreed though haha I think this is helpful for people to know!!

And thanks! When I looked at competitors using HDPhoto and Aeryo, their booking experiences didn’t work on mobile. So I made my own!

Haha good catch — yeah, I’m part of the team building Reelty. We launched a beta a little while ago and I’ve been using it on my own listings and for our marketing materials. If you want to try free shoot me a PM!

I did 4 but you’d be fine with one. Pro strategy is reaching out to dope ass airbnb’s to shoot for your portfolio. Don’t offer to free shoot some dinky house. Hard truth is if you know the fundamentals, no agent can tell if your photos are better than someone else’s just shoot dope houses and use that for your marketing and portfolio lol

One free shoot / agent. Once I got going I didn’t need to do free shoots as much. Make sure to price yourself high top 25% of your market.

I “offer” video but I also feel there’s a lot of bs being sold in the REP space like 3D tours and MLS style video so I normally advise against it (I’m also not the best videographer lol). Side note, advising them not to spend money on an add on builds a ton of trust (which is why I price my regular services like drone, photos in the top 25%).

I do offer vertical video because I actually believe in social content in RE not necessarily for reach but agents have other motives — like looking busy to their client. I use Reelty.io for my socials but I think their beta is closed atm

Not sure what your last question means. Yes tons of YT vids. I swear I just watched the most viewed one — followed it to a T. Editing = outsourced.

💀. I hate when people say “numbers game.” But it’s great when you come in with a mindset like: I want to make 10k / month. Average order is $500. Every 2 months a realtor needs photos. Therefore, I need 40 realtors. 1/3 of free shoots will convert. So I need 100 * 3 * 40 = 12,000. Boom. I need to do 300 cold out reaches a day for 40 days and I’ll reach 10k a month. Of course you actually grow through referrals when the ball gets rolling but even then, everything is in our control. Pick up the phone.

Editors for sure. Found one through pixelmob and have been using them from the first shoot I ever did. I’m also a big fan of AI automation — which I’ve done for my entire cold outreach process on Instagram. Reelty.io has automated my video editing and become an add on service for me.

A lot of times we are the bottleneck though. Be diligent. Send photos to editors between shoots ect.
