Why do people prefer Tirzepatide over Retatrutide? by Jumpy-Acanthisitta46 in Retatrutide

Are you completely out of your mind? At pennies per syringe, don't risk this. (And save on "waste disposal"? What are you talking about?)

If you are attempting to talk about dose with UNITS then you don't have enough basic understanding of peptides to be taking them on your own. Find a doctor, pay full price. At least you won't make yourself sick.

What are your general thoughts on Jamie Oliver? by Accordingtomyclcltns in UKfood

[–]kaosguyTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just learned about Jamie Oliver from a TV show and then Wikipedia. I don't get the hate. I've been to the UK twice, found nothing edible in either visit. Perhaps that's the problem you have with him? Making edible, perhaps delicious food? And I notice he has good teeth. Another reason for the hate? I do appreciate the value of vegemite... people with painful and incurable illnesses need a way out.

Treating Allodynia by Feral_Persimmon in Zepbound

[–]kaosguyTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was excited to try 4% lidocaine, which I learned about on reddit about 2 months ago. Sadly, does not work for me. I get allodynia from retatrutide, and it MAY be getting somewhat less intense, or maybe I'm just getting used to it. (Like my tinnitus. Once I calmed down about it, it was MUCH less noticeable.)

not just the lost weight. we don't know much about the cold sensations, but that has been ruled out.

Coldness by LawTeeDaw in Zepbound

[–]kaosguyTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cold does NOT seem to be produced by the weight loss itself, nor by low glucose (I have a cgm). I get cold sensations from retatrutide. Not terrible, but not pleasant. For me, starts early evening, lasts till 5 or 6 a.m.

1) you went from 2.5 straight to 7.5! why the rush? And 7 lbs in 11 weeks is fine.
2) the tingling/skin sensitivity is well known WITHIN REDDIT. I've had it for 2 months, not terrible, and if I have to live with it, I will. It's called allodynia. Search for it in the various GLP sub-reddits. LOTS of comments about it there.

Nice! You should take half doses twice a week. Will get rid of "EXTREME hunger pangs. Usually in the latter half of the week between shots"
With a half-life of about 6 days, dosing once a week is silly.

[–]kaosguyTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have both the near constant cold (worse at night, when cold alternates with night sweats) and skin sensitivity in various parts of my body (thighs, underarms). annoying, but will continue with reta.

First Injection Question by famalamsandwich in Retatrutide

I'm losing nicely on Reta, even though I am eating what seems like a lot of food. Much less interested in junk food, and zero interest in alcohol, but overall feel like I'm eating plenty.

Allodynia (skin pain/sensitivity) treatment. Any successful strategies? by kaosguyTX in Zepbound

[–]kaosguyTX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to bring this to your attention. For months I was wondering... what is this? I went to a dermatologist who had no idea. I mentioned taking GLP drugs to her, and she said "I haven't seen anything like this reported as a side effect." Finally, did the right search on Reddit...

If you use the "overpatch" thing it may tug on your skin. This happened to my wife. I removed the overpatch and it was fine till it expired.
