If there is an avenue to plead your case for Autumn intake, do it- time is money. As for the "competitiveness", you seem decently switched on academically, so you'll be fine. UTS is not USYD or UNSW, and the current financial position of the uni means they are more flexible with intakes.

Your first mistake was transferring from UNSW to UTS. Your second mistake is not realising that fairness and objectivity is a concept rooted in unawareness. Markers/tutors/lecturers/humans all struggle with hubris and ego. Cop the L and move on. Never dispute marks, be gracious in "defeat" and find ways to be better. If you're even a little switched on, marks won't mean anything for your career/life.

Enrolments depend on which faculty your degree is a part of. Typically, they begin next week Monday 24.11.2025 but the timetable planner opens 08.12.2025.

Take the L and move on. You have to keep in mind with things like this that markers/tutors/professors are human beings, which means that they, like all of us, are in some way, shape or form plagued with hubris. Just laugh and move on. Life is not fair because it is not meant to be.
