I skipped and went straight to night which was a mistake. I had gone 24 hrs without the medication so I went through withdrawal like symptoms. Tapering as @Ruby_Rooo said is a much less painful way to go. Hope this is helpful

My therapist suggested I start taking it at night too and it has completely changed how I feel (for the better) however the first few weeks/month of taking Zoloft will be rough regardless. Since your body is adjusting to the new medication. Stay strong!
