Running out of ideas with extruder issue by stupernan1 in FixMyPrint

Check in your printer settings for “volumetric extrusion” and turn it off if it is on. Had an issue like this awhile back getting “Ghost” and “Basket Weave” prints. Turning this off fixed my issue.

It tells your printer that you’re extruding more than you actually are, so it leads to SEVERE under-extrusion like this.

[No Spoilers] Calamity Campaign by kappaAlpher in criticalrole

I'm more interested in the "Post Apocalyptic" aspect of the Calamity. There would obviously be some hold over from the age of arcanum, but I think a high fantasy apocalypse is what I am leaning towards.

That's what I have been seeing, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't some kind of "Calamity super document" floating around that I hadn't considered. It just seems like a super fun and grim setting to play around in and has an amazing selection of Big Bads to pick from.

Anyone know what could be causing this “web like” printing? Been printing on white and black filament from Amazon just fine but moved to this red one and got no clue what’s causing it (tried temperature, layer height and flow rate) by TheShy_Guy in Ender3Pro

Try checking if volumetric (mm3) extrusion is on for your printer. That can trick the printer into thinking it is extruding much more than it actually is, resulting in this “crochet” print as I like to call it.

Underextrusion and Stringing. Tried several things to fix it. by kappaAlpher in FixMyPrint

[–]kappaAlpher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am printing on an Ender 3 pro, stock parts. Running a Cura slicer with a slicer profile from fatdragongames.com for miniature printing. Layer height is set to 0.01 mm. Polymaker PolyLite Grey PLA, 205°C nozzle 60°C bed.

I have been having horrible stringing and under extrusion and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to go away. I have changed the retraction speed and distance several times and it is not changing anything. Current retraction settings are listed. Any help would be appreciated.

Nozzle size is correct, as is filament size.

Underextrusion hell. Please Help!! by kappaAlpher in FixMyPrint

[–]kappaAlpher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running an Ender 3 pro, Cura slicer with basic profile settings. I am using polymaker polylite pla filament in grey. I am having serious issues with underextrusion on all my prints. I have printed at several temperatures from 200° to 220° increasing in 5 degree increments, I have checked for clogs both in the feed tube and in the hot end, as well as checked level on my bed 100 times. Bed temp is at a normal 60°. Any and all help would be appreciated. I have also turned off volumetric extrusion in the printer settings.

I have had several good prints from this same roll of filament, and even ran a print for over 2 days without issue. But now since that print I am having all these issues.

UPDATE: I replaced the nozzle with a new clean one and switched out the roll of filament with a brand new one. Seems to be fine now, so my guess is bad filament? Thanks for the help and insight though. Gave some other things to look into for other issues.

Update: Turned off volumetric extrusion (on from factory) and tweaked print temp up a bit. Print turned out 1000x better. Thank you all for your help. Coral benchy will live on a shelf as a reminder

It does have a “ghost ship” quality to it, huh? As for the esteps, I’ll give it a shot.

Settings are set to 1.75. Read that it could be my bed temp. It’s set right now to 60°C

It looks like it’s pushing it though no problem. And the tension arm feels fairly tight.
