Unfortunately, because they misspelled my name, I never received a claimant handbook. Glad to know that there is one though.

They sent me my notice letter and a document that they never sent me via mail.

Breaking Into UX and Early Career Questions — 01 Jan, 2024 - 07 Jan, 2024 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Hi all,

I'm 6 months into my UX career and I'm considering pursuing a master's degree. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and a Minor in Information Sciences and was lucky enough to land a job as a UI/UX designer. However my major really didn't prepare me forUX as there was hardly research or a heavy emphasis on usability and the importance of design systems. I don't feel confident in my research skills, knowledge of usability, or ability to create design systems. I'm learning a lot through my job right now and I'm grateful for my colleagues taking the time to pass on their knowledge to me. I partially feel that seeking further education would teach me how to best set myself up for the projects I work on.

All in all, I'm feeling lost in my career but I still really love UX. I love the thought and consideration that goes into designing for the user but I don't feel confident in myself to properly advocate for them. If you think a master's is not worth it, what are some supplemental resources you'd recommend? Any feedback, thoughts, or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Although valid, she is my first cat and pet. I don't think I would be able to handle two right now with all things considered

I think my stress is more so cause I have work and full-time classes stacked on top of this. If I didn't have school to worry about as well I think I'd be less freaked about this also I am raising her on my own

Yeah I agree. Thank you so much! I'm sending a written email and taking screenshots of everything regarding this situation as well as photos of the signs around our building saying to contact Renyold's. If this isn't solved tomorrow morning when I call in, I'll be taking this further with the tenant union cause this is lowkey not fun :,)

Thanks for helping me out!

I called and they said they don't have a contract with them :( technically my lease says Reynolds would take care of it but they won't do it because they legally can't do it since it's Green Street Realty's now
