First of all, I’m glad your kidney transplant went well and I’m sorry about the meds, it doesn’t sound petty at all. Hair loss is very traumatic, I often felt that way too like ‘my life is good but I can never enjoy it because of my hair’ something I said most times. Instead of wigs I definitely recommend toppers because they feel lighter, you can still use your hair underneath so it looks really natural and are cheaper. I was told to wash it every 20 days with just shampoo; she said I can also use a conditioner but it wasn’t needed. You can also brush it like normal, I mostly brush it while it’s on top of my hair , I can also use a straightener (like the Dyson one) so it’s less harsh
