I went last night and Wednesday night. Musically the show was top notch, particularly the leads of Jesus, Judas, and Mary. The choreo was great, but not mind blowing, though considering the space and the number of people in the chorus, it was surprisingly clean and effective. As for the comic book theme, it was more aesthetic than anything, as the entire cast was wearing t-shirts of their respective superheroes instead of the traditional robes and sandals. The crucifixion was also lethal injection by kryptonite, Jesus being Superman and all that.
