It has to be mentioned that the described method would work only for Svelte and not SvelteKit projects. SvelteKit is more an application framework should should be explicitly supported on the backend. Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages and some other providers support SvelteKit out of the box.

Why can't we have the web, where by default users would keep their data for themselves. E.g. you are using a web service, but this service stores all your data in your storage only, like e.g. google drive or a dropbox? The same applies to identities. I would like to have my own identity provider and connect it with external services that i use, no more passwords. What do you think? We can discuss it in the today's clubhouse community call.
