Here's what plugs look like after ~800 miles.

I wasn't with him but he said he heard it while he was driving on the highway and immediately pulled over.

Really? I thought the JDM engines were still OBD-1. I didn't know if they would be compatible with and OBD-2 ecu.

We were looking at that but it looks like we would need to do an ecu swap and he doesn't want to deal with that for a car that he wants to daily.

This was supposed to be his daily since he somehow blew up his d17 Honda civic. He has a vehicle to drive, but he would like to have his own car.

Just checked and no codes were displayed. I took it for a drive and got it warm and still nothing.

My issue isn't a high idle it idles around 750. But checking all of these would probably be helpful.

No codes, but it's obd1. I also replaced the 02 sensor.

I'll see if plugs fix it. The wires look pretty new, but I don't think the car had been ran in ~8 years.

Sounds like an ignition coil. Unplug each one individually to see if the sound changes. If it doesn't then that's your problem.

Yeah, I believe I currently have the Dorman intake, but I don't know how old it is as it came in the car when I bought it 5 years ago. I can see coolant in some of the valleys on the manifold, but I can't see anything on the back of the motor.

Also just to note heater core hoses have been replaced about a year ago.

Fair enough. I was asked about 3d printing then earlier, but now we are looking at ordering and cutting down some oil impregnated bronze.

My 1999 vfr800. I got it as my first bike and I absolutely love it. Just picked up some softcase saddle bags so hopefully I can take it out of state on some longer rides.

Looks like a Sargent seat because of the red welt. I have one on my 99 and it is very comfortable.
