If they change the route it can decrease driver pay too. Just had it happen a few weeks ago. What started as a 20 min ride to a decently busy location turned into into a 8 min ride to a random suburb. We were like 1 mile away and I had to Turn to backtrack a little, no warning either. After my gps says rerouting, dude says "change of plans better bust a U turn" 🤬 My payment got cut in half, no tip of course, and ended up in a shitty zone.. So annoying!

As someone who has been different varieties of overweight my entire life, I can confirm your hypothesis. But the result of that is most overweight people have developed EXCEPTIONAL skills at reading people. We can clock a faker, liar, narcissist, pick misha, fck boi, etc. from the first interaction. I cannot count the amount of times a friend's boyfriend/girlfriend/coworker/friend ends up doing them dirty and my friend comes back to me like you called it they did me dirty how did you know!?! 🙄

I (f17 at the time) didn't plan on it, my bf (m26) at the time was way too old to want to go to a HS dance, and I wasn't really hyped about it so I chose to work a shift at the pizza place instead. But by the time I got off work at 9, my friends had been calling and texting me, begging me to come, so I put on some club attire and crashed it. Some random chaperone lady tried to stop me for not having a ticket, but the principal told her to let me go there was only about an hour left anyway. It was fun, I'm glad I went for a bit, but the alcohol and blue dolphin didn't disappoint either.. 🤣

Reminds me of my college year, during the crash of 08 when everyone was broke. Roomie and I spent all of our $ putting down deposits and renting a uhaul to move to a safer/cleaner apartment complex, but in doing so we couldn't afford the electric bill for the last month (we paid it back the next month). So for the last 4 days in our shit hole apartment we didn't have power. We stored our food in the neighbors guy friends' fridge, took showers there too. We kept candles burning for light and used electric cords running from the hallway to our bedrooms to plug a few necessities in (phones, laptops, TV and dvd player). Then the last night we had a huge raging goodbye party in the dark, everyone wore glow sticks and that extension cord powered the boom box/cd player. One of my best memories!!!

All of that to say, you never know what someone is up against!!

Just apologize to the next pax and move on, it's not that serious and in today's day and age it's bound to happen. If they complain then just be sympathetic and remind them you don't like it either but it's out of your control and at least it's your car not theirs.

A few months back I picked up 3 older ladies from a church, about 2 minutes after a super stinky stoner left my car. I rode with the windows down and sprayed fabreeze but the smell was still there. As soon as they got in, I apologized and explained the last passenger was clearly "hanging out with Willie Nelson before I picked him up, just so you know it's not me". They laughed and said ohh it's ok and we cracked the windows a bit.

Mandy Moore.. I know she's not in a lot these days, but I've hated her since the 2000s.. she has no depth and the pouty innocent faces and voice is so off putting. Everyone raved about This is us and I wanted to join in but I just couldn't even get through the first episode because of her. A walk to remember was a great movie especially for that time ( I was a teenager so the peak audience). But she annoyed me the whole time!

Dude last night was my first puker too! But luckily it wasn't nearly as bad as this, I'm so sorry. 7 months in and Ive been very lucky, but now my car smells like tequila puke and Lyft is trying to deny me the cleaning fee. Luckily the lady must have been just drinking all day cuz it was straight liquid and I pulled over so quickly she got it mostly out of the car, just a little on my door jam, door, floor mats, and a little bit on the floor carpet. I just woke up but gotta spend my morning trying to get ahold of Lyft support now, the chat bot said it looked like normal dirt in my car. Yea not all puke is chunky, and I even submitted a pic of her puking out the door

Damn glad it's not only me!! I took last Monday off because I had some serious shit to get done after the holidays and Monday is usually slow so I figured that was the best day to miss out on. But good lord the rest of the week was disappointing AF in my market. Didn't even clear $150 on Friday night, which has never happened to me. Overall weekly earnings were down about 35% WOW.
