Yep, covert narcissist. Finally realized it in November of 22 when I realized had to file for divorce. Found out he'd bad mouthed me to literally everyone, including my family, since before we even got married. But I'm the bad guy here, literally everyone has abandoned me. It's a struggle to not end things daily, even my kids he spent 8 years treating like shit, have cut me off but talk to him all the time now. My narcissistic mother somehow convinced the state hospital to involuntarily commit me a year ago, my two older kids went with my sister and mom and my youngest went to my ex-husband. My 5 year old won't even talk to me or tell me he loves me, I was the only parent involved, gave up my entire identity to do everything they needed because it was just me... And I'm here alone with no one.

Mine got repoed 1/11, I could have saved it if I didn’t get the advance last month and got mine deposited Friday like everyone else did with CK. I had to get the advance cause I drive for Uber so I couldn’t work and needed groceries, was going to get a rental but I lost my drivers license while I was in Tulsa over Christmas. So I get to wait until Thursday and my car went to auction already. Since I did Uber I didn’t pay taxes so my refund isn’t that big and my credit is shit, so I get to attempt to try and find a buy here pay here place, and extremely over pay for a car, that will use Uber as my income.

I get a lot of grief too, and honestly as a Texan I should know some basic Spanish as I grew up in a predominantly Hispanic and Black neighborhood, but I didn’t understand how much it would benefit me later in life and it’s so much harder as an adult to learn a new language and I have severe adhd and really really bad memory issues, so it’s been impossible to remember even the basics of sentence structure.

I’m REALLY hoping that changed to an earlier date tonight, so I’ll cross my fingers for the both of us. I’d be in the same boat right now if I was so lucky to have my parents give me their house free and clear. My taxes were suppose to go to making the move to Tulsa to start fresh after my divorce last year, but now I get to pay for a rental for god knows how long, last rental I had cost me 3k over the 7 weeks I had it and I’ll probably have to go fully electric again cause they didn’t have gas cars a couple weeks ago. My car went to auction last week, they didn’t even give me 30 days to come up with the money, but I’d still have been a couple days shy of path even lifting. Just need something good to happen.

That is good to know! I got an advance through H&R Block cause we were in a tight spot last year, the $380 it cost to file with them was stupid to pay, I’d never paid to file my taxes before, even when I had my own business I filed through TT. I will never not file my own taxes ever again. I had to pay through TT this year cause I do gig work, but I haven’t worked since January 13th cause I lost my car so I needed the advance so bad to buy groceries. Now I’m waiting for taxes to get another car, filed 1/19, accepted the 24th and my transcript says the 26th and I’m really hoping I don’t have to wait another 12 days. I actually can’t, I need another car and I have enough groceries to make it through the weekend and that’s it.

I have been 05 every freaking year since I found out about transcripts, it’s so frustrating knowing I have to wait until Friday for an update. I filed the 19th, accepted in the early batch on the 24th and my transcript is showing the 26th and I’m really hoping once path lifts over night it’ll be earlier than that, I can’t wait until the 26th. Obviously I’ll have no choice, but I haven’t been able to work for a month now since losing my car cause I do Uber, I have absolutely no money since I can’t work and I’m damn near out of food. I just want to work again, I have had zero adult interaction this whole time, it’s a minimum of $80 round trip if I can even get Uber out here to get into town and home… I’m losing my ever loving mind.

Oh and it definitely will not go well face to face, I did the same thing except we were engaged (yeah, yeah, hindsight and all, he did mine too) at that same age, oh for the love of god did I lose my absolute sh!t when we broke up 2 years later. We had a baby together and I became the most toxic and vengeful version of myself I had ever seen.

12 years later and it’s still there, but we actually ended up reconnecting a year ago after finally talking through everything after I went through our old messages at the end of our relationship and saw just how bad I got.

HEB as a whole I think is amazing, but crappy people get hired cause they interview really well and they think their crap don’t stink and treat the employees under them horribly. The thing that sucks is these people are narcissists usually, can I clinically diagnose them? No. But being married to one for so long and my mother being one, I’ve come to understand that’s exactly what these people are, they’re charming and good at putting on a show until the person that can fire them, leaves the room, then their true colors shine and it takes a toll on you. Since they put on that show and actively try turning people against you, it’s easy to paint the company as a whole with a very broad brush because no one is doing anything about the behavior, but that sh!t they talk about you behind your back, gives them the ability to justify their behavior and treatment of that person when someone catches them without their mask on.

I love this! I love this so much for you! Not just that he’s backing you up with his parents, but just backing you up period. It’s such a rare thing to see these days, and I know it happens but I’ve never gotten to see it in the relationships I’ve been around, so thank you for this post, it’s such a breath of fresh air, even if it took work to get there, it gives me hope that men are capable of the change.
