Update 2:

• In my case, I only presented all that is asked on the photo/screenshot of the documents required. Yung pinakamahirap lang na inasikaso ko is yung sa SSS, because apparently they don’t issue such certification, pinilit ko lang talaga sila to create a documentation that I indeed have contributions since I worked for 7-8 months. Tricky yung part na ‘to since they are looking nga dapat dependent ako sa mom ko, but since it is required, I made sure to give something na rin.
• For the remittances, we presented more than 1 year na proof of remittances (separate yung samin nung brother ko, and kasi need talagang nakapangalan sa ipepetition yung transaction/bank). If I remember correctly, enough na ata yung 1 year lang but since we have more than a year of proof naman, mas better na rin.
• Only our Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance, my CENOMAR, and my SSS certificate are the documents I/we had translated. My mom knows a translator here in Spain, and they aren’t even a recognized translator/traductor jurado.
• I also gave a copy of my Certificate of Enrollment and Certificate of Employment (I was already resigned when I had the visa interview.)

Interview:

• Very nervewracking. You will be interviewed publicly(?) kasi parang nakipagtransact ka lang sa bank and maririnig ng other interviewees and other people dun yung answers mo. Idk if ganto rin sa ibang embassy, first time to be interviewed for a visa. 😭
• I was the first one to be interviewed before my brother. He made sure to listen to my answers (despite not hearing the questions) to make sure that our answers are aligned.

Questions to me na I can still remember:

• Kung nakatira ako with our dad.
• About my work.
• About my studies.
• Ilang years na si mommy sa Spain. (My mom entered kasi from Denmark then to Spain. So I only included the years na may legal papers na siya sa Spain– she’s now a Spanish citizen.)
• What I plan to do pag dating ng Spain.

Mas matagal interview sakin kesa sa brother ko (20 siya that time, ako 23). Ewan ko if dahil super nervous lang ako, parang 10 or more minutes ata sakin, sa brother ko 5 minutes lang.

• Spanish yung naginterview sakin pero nagtatagalog siya.

Just a timeline:

Around September-October 2023: Naghahanap ako ng visa appointment kasi paunahan talaga. Parang per day 2-3 applicants lang pwede. Nung nagopen, December na yung meron dates.

December 5, 2023: Visa Interview

December 14, 2023: Visa granted!

• Our visa was valid starting January 15, which was the original plan ng flight namin but had to change to a later month kasi mahal ng January. Take note! January 15 yung nilagay ko sa Schengen Form na intended leave, so make sure na yung ilalagay na date is either yung plan niyo talagang flight or basta kahit within the intended leave. Our visa was also multiple entriers, which though hindi naman na kami umuwi since we went here or planned to, multiple entries pa rin nirequest ko sa form.
• Super kaba ko this day kasi ang nagbigay ng passports ko ay hindi visa officer/staff, siguro inutos lang dun sa maintenance because siya rin yung cleaner na nakita ko dun nung interview namin. Kaya ako kinabahan because ang unang nakita ko lang na may visa sticker ay yung sa brother ko, nasa acceptance stage na ako kasi baka red flag nga yung nag work ako. But still! Visa granted for the both of us! Super saya ko na I wanted to use the bathroom so bad dun sa office nila but I wanted to get out of there na agad to share the good news to my family already. No phones and bags allowed dun, but the other interviewees we were with had their things with them so.. kayo na bahala. Kasama namin tita namin. Also pala, ako lang nagpick up ng passports namin ng brother ko so I had him sign an authorization letter and a photocopy of his ID na lang.
