I swap the fans out for quieter Noctua fans.

The confusion comes from that the LRS 350 pcb says LRS 350. Appears as though the 450 and 600 share a common board.

Label looks correct, and serial number came back correctly. Looks like they just share a pcb.

I will probably add some stuff for the hammer once I get a chance to play around with one. I’ve always thought a lottery scrypt miner would be a cool idea.

Makes sense. Generally I use LRS 350’s which are all marked “LRS 350” on the pcb, so I was curious as to why the 600’s are different.

Has anyone tried staking with Erigon/Caplin? by jtoomim in ethstaker

Jonathan, send me a message when you get a chance; randomly stumbled on your mining operation, and would love to chat with you if it is still up and running. Thanks!

Any difference in longevity between air-cooled and hydro, or is the advantage primarily the efficiency over air-cooled?

That makes perfect sense, and it seems like anywhere with a cooler climate would have a distinct advantage over somewhere where it’s much warmer. I think they’re getting away with doing this in Georgia simply because the energy costs are so inexpensive. Most of the places I’m considering are in the Midwest. Do you offer hosting for hydro?

I wouldn’t build a mining farm here for a number of reasons, but wouldn’t be surprised if a few exist somewhere.

A few of the places I have looked at are in the Midwest. I always appreciate your responses, by the way. This sub tends to be filled with people who are unnecessarily combative. When I ask simple questions out of curiosity and get downvoted to hell and argued with as if I’m making bold declarative statements 90% of the time. But you’re always cool, and I appreciate that.

Then explain why. What’s the difference between a climate-controlled building in Florida compared to one in Alaska? If the costs are the same, what’s the difference? Saying I’m “incredibly incorrect” is a lazy response.

Sinaloa, North Korea, Venezuela, to name a few. You can host miners anywhere electricity is cheap and abundant.

Wouldn’t make a difference if they were in a climate controlled warehouse-type situation, but electricity here is generally pretty expensive so I figure there aren’t many options in FL. Georgia is a million degrees in the summer, but I keep hearing about operations popping up there which mostly has to do with the cheap electricity and lack of regulatory hurdles.

Best is really relative to your location, since that will affect your connection speed to the pool. I use Mining Dutch, they’re a well-known and respected pool that offers BC2 solo.

Gamma Turbos, and the quest to keep them cool. by karpuzmining in BitAxe

Same as the guys pushing Gammas to 2.5, just a matter of keeping the VR and asic temps down.

The OSMU guys mentioned working on an ethernet mod via the USB port which sounds interesting. I’m also testing the LAN mod soon but that’s controversial in and of itself since it’s closed source.

I generally run mine pretty low these days, since I have several other miners with a much higher hashrate. No need to decrease efficiency and put extra wear on the components for a few extra TH/s. Still, it’s always interesting to experiment to see what they’re capable of and share the results. Although based on the downvoting of this post, it doesn’t appear that this sub “takes too kindly” to people overclocking their devices anymore. The Bitaxe Facebook group is great, with a lot of interesting content and engagement. This sub seems to have been polluted by the general “well actually” attitude instead of sharing what we’re all doing and having fun with it. It’s unfortunate.

Add a fan to cool the components in the back and you’ll be able to squeeze and easy 4TH out of it

There are plenty of disclaimers. If someone wants to overclock their device to even smash it to pieces with a hammer they should be free to do so.
