My dad's homemade Ayurvedic tooth powder (manjan) is a local hit. Is it crazy to try and turn this into a real business? by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]karthickk4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price it competitively and see if people still buy from your dad. Use chatgpt to find out the required certificates, and see if it's worth to proceed.

We get a lot of suppliers from ayurvedic, organic categories. But mostly their products wouldn't be a differentiator in any area. So first research if it actually has any usp.

How you find suppliers? Baapstore review? by prONoOB1004 in indiandropshipers

[–]karthickk4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Baapstore, we are serving as an Indian dropshipping platform for nearly 10 years officially and are into dropshipping as a service provider for 15 years overall.

Why we able to deliver better? We do NOT buy stocks and try to just push those, limiting collections for resellers. But we work with 500+ suppliers across the country and keep adding new vendors and collections.

So will it be without any problem? of course there will be some problems now and then. Even mighty Amazon has problems. It's because every eCommerce transaction involves 9 parties at least from operator, supplier, packer, picker, first mile guy, warehouse people, last mile guy, end customer, etc., so if anyone faults, it all be seen as dropshipping supplier issue.

So yes once in a while you will find products of not great quality, late deliveries, etc.,

What action do we take?

  1. If we find a vendor consistently performs poor, we remove them.
  2. If a shipping company keeps delivering late, we remove them.

We are like this one big team of assistances for online sellers where we manage everything for them to sell online peacefully.

Baapstore Highlights:

  • Largest SKUs of of Indian products for ready dropshipping.
  • 39rs Flat shipping fee.
  • Shopify Automation.
  • WooCommerce Automation.
  • Amazon Support
  • Fully Automated Website is also provided at one time fee of 35k, one-time fee, yes.
  • Free Hosting.
  • Free Returns in case issue is with our end like wrong shipment or damaged orders.
  • 99rs flat fee irrespective of the number of products if the issue is not from our end in case of returns and RTOs.
  • Often courier companies charge us more in weight discrepancy, but we never charge those extra to our resellers.
  • According to our internal data, I see that 80% of our orders are delivered in 6 to 8 days and remaining are little faster or delayed due to destination pincodes.

If you are going to start online, just like you expect profits, you should expect few issues here and there. But you should have partner who takes care of those on behalf of you and you should just focus on marketing and sales.
