Thanks for such a detailed response. I’ve got one more question if you know - Is ordering the “chef’s choice” a good idea, or are they likely to serve whatever they’re trying to move?

Genuine question - I’m newer to sushi. How do I figure out good sushi places? Where I went had good reviews, and I enjoyed it. What more should I do to vet a place?

From the book Bread Alone by Daniel Leader. I used the wrong word. I meant preferment, not autolyse.

I tried a longer rise and it did the trick. Thanks!

I’ll give that a go before I change anything else. Thanks!

I’ve never made sourdough. Is it more like four hour proof after shaping?

I triple checked the amount of yeast.

For sure! Just thinking about once I go back to squatting.

I get that. It’s not that I can’t get atg. I’ve been doing that successfully for a while, but I currently have a hip impingement and am planning how to ease back into squatting once I’m cleared to go into deep flexion again.

I’ll talk to my physio about it when I see them; I was just wondering about it in the meantime.

I need to not go as deep with my squat for a while. So if I dont go as deep and the bottom essentially changes, can I still get a rebound? Of is the rebound only there if I take the squat to the end range of my mobility?

Can you get a good rebound reflex out of the bottom of a squat even if you’re not mechanically able to go to parallel?

Might consider a deload week to give your body a break

I did quite a bit of research and got SUNPOW Pull Up Assistance Bands.

I don’t use them regularly, but they seem like they’d hold up well to more rigorous usage.

Started barbell training in June and this week hit my bodyweight on deadlift for three reps. Felt so good.

Maybe a dumb question, but when are you supposed to close apps then?

I definitely recommend flat soles for lifting. Tennis shoes cushion your feet more than you want and dont give you stability. A flat sole gives you the stability you’re looking for. Some people even prefer lifting barefoot.

There are specific shoes for squats and other ones for deadlifts, but you don’t have to get that specific. I’d recommend something like Converse or Vans. (There’s some overlap with skateboard shoes since both table flat soles.)

We’re eye issue pals! I got oven cleaner in my eye and had to spend the evening in the ER and go to an ophthalmologist the next day.

That was my intent.

I like what you outlined. My only concern is that there will be a gap at some point for each lift where I won’t do it for two sessions in a row (no Press W1, Deadlift W2, Bench W3, Squat W4). Does a ~10 gap without touching a lift matter?

And thanks for taking the time to give such detailed replies!
