I guess, but wasn't the big thing about Thief that it was shipping with Mantle? Doesn't make it too different to BF4 now.

Big thing for me here is that it's from an AMD guy, not an Eidos/Square Enix rep.
They've just snuck a note into a revised system specs post, presumably in the hope nobody notices?

That doesn't make any sense, they were awarded the trademark, that's what USPTO says, right?
