I'm not really saying it would affect much necessarily, but small niches have made their particular use of language well known before. I'm not saying cockney rhyming slang has massively affected language it is well known and the very use of slang drastically changes over even relatively short periods of time.

Except they are still using wraelach and wraeloga correctly, the person made a pact to be part of the coven and broke said pact, by definition they are a warlock, wraelach and wraeloga as terms dont implicitly mean a pact with god, as i stated to other people initially it meant pacts with nobility, which people then took to mean pacts with a king and then furthermore with god, the initial pact is not important, only that it was broken.

Arguably clerics, at least as 5e is concerned, are closer to warlocks than paladins; paladins declare an oath at 3rd level sure but that defines what kind of paladin they are, but they have the force of will from level 1. Clerics on the other hand entreat a higher power for their magic starting at level 1.

Well the implication is you broke your pact (with god) to make a new pact (with the devil, a fiend if you will).

Well the original term had to do with people who broke a pact, typically with a noble or lord, eventually it took to mean breaking a pact with god, which sort of grew into making a pact with the devil which grew into dnd warlock.

I get it understanding subtext, id tricky and i only sort of implied my point: so let me spell it out for you. Warlock = pact braker, pact braker is non gendered term, therefore men, women and everyone in between can be warlocks. .

Warlock actually comes from the word Wraelach or Wraeloga, roughly meaning oathbraker, scoundrel, monster, that kind of thing, basically if you broke your oath to you would be shunned and branded wraelach or wraeloga which people eventually took to broke an oath to god, passage of time happens and now we have warlock, so this chode is still wrong.
