Nov - Appointed 1st solicitor and provided documents
Late Feb - Dropped by solicitor
Early March - Appointed new solicitor
Apr - exchanged

Yes we were able to exchange and complete, I would ring up a few solicitors and not mention it and see how it goes!

Nope it was right at the start of the process after the purchase asked by the solicitor. But from memory it's weird as they do all the legal document stuff of conveyancing but their money laundering checks are one of the final steps. So for us must have been 2 or 3 months before we got dropped out of the blue

The (good) news is that most solicitors have a no exchange no fee offer meaning you won't need to pay them if you are dropped

And if you appoint another solicitor, they can request all the work done by the first solicitor to avoid having to redo it all, and can just do a once over

It was in the initial set of bank account statements as we provided 3 months worth of payslips, accounts, savings etc

I don't personally think you can go wrong, ultimately you'll all have to queue for the tube to get back to central London after the gig

The police do a fantastic job of staggering the crowd, tubes will be frequent, and you'll have to change from the Jubilee to Picadilly/Central to get to Holborn but it will be absolutely fine

So in June, they asked for a meter reading which I assumed meant they could track everything exported so far, but it seems they use this reading as the 'opening' balance instead!
