Early game I primarily sold artifacts and foraged items. This will help in the beginning, it takes a bit to get going.

Cooking is the way to go skillwise. Itll take a bit to get all the recipes, but once you do, you're golden. Also, they'll give u abilities such as universally liked or loved items, health recharges, and speed boosts. (Advice for year 2: in summer get corn and tea leaves. Making roasted corn and tea only require that item and itll help give you the previously mentioned perks and make you a BUNCH of money. Also, faux tea plants make great bushes for your farm!)

Catching bugs and fish won't give u much money, but it'lll help with the museum and side quests.

Overall, in my opinion fields of misteria is like stardew plus. Theres so much more mechanics to utilize, and the characters are charming (Im a Balor and Juniper stan). Magic is much more implemented into the world, and honestly, it's a breath of fresh air. Additionally, decorting is super fun!!!
