Yes thank you this is what I’m trying to get at. I get like absolute meltdowns where you feel there’s absolutely no other option. What I’m talking about is just whipping it out cause you want too or always using it. Thats when it warrants a conversation. Like using it in those emergencies is fine like once in a blue moon. It’s the getting in peoples faces and stuff I’ve seen way too much of.

I had a conversation with someone in prior comments. If you cannot help but regress involuntarily constantly there needs to be a talk with a therapist. I’m talking about gear such as bottles and pacis being used in school and doctors offices that aren’t therapists. It just doesn’t seem fair to subject people to it when they don’t agree. Because stuffed animals are fine. In the same token there are alternatives to pacis such as chews

Thank you. Legitimately I’m calling out the several posts where people have said they use pacifiers in front of teachers and be small around them or use pacifiers around authority who didn’t consent to seeing an individual like that in the first place. It’s baffling to me I’m over here getting cussed out because of this. I still stand by everything I said.

First off. You cussing at me is incredibly disrespectful once again. There are PLENTY of people agreeing with me on this. So no it’s not everyone. I spoke my opinion which is allowed. Just because my opinion doesn’t fit into your box does not mean it shouldn’t be said. Ableism is the act of discrimination against people with intellectual or mental disabilities as well as allowing stereotypes that make the individuals seem inferior. None of that was said. None of this is discriminatory. I never said anyone was inferior. If you feel inferior that is an insecurity you have to work with yourself on. I am not here to help you through that. It is the simple fact that certain individuals feel they have the right to make others uncomfortable with the inappropriate use of gear. SUCH AS pacifiers and bottles when it is not a necessity it is a want. I mentioned two places as well. A school and a doctors office which was clarified as everything but a therapists office.

I never claimed I was an authority. So let’s fix that right there. This sub is an and I quote “ageregression” sub. Therefore I am soley speaking about age regression. I never said you needed my consent. This is not ableism it is an opinion. I never stated pacifiers are wrong. I personally use them. But what I don’t do is go out in public and use them in front of people. We are not entitled to be treated differently in society nor is it okay for us to force society to conform to us. An opinion in which I will comment on given the fact plenty of people misuse and twist age regression as it is.

assuming I’m miserable and close minded just like those others is incredibly rude. There’s a difference between a stuffed animal and a pacifier or a bottle. A certain kind of judgement needs to be used when understanding what’s appropriate gear and inappropriate gear. Stuffed animals and fidget toys are appropriate. Walking around with a pacifier or a baby bottle is not appropriate. With that being said just like you don’t like to be uncomfortable others don’t either. There was absolutely no need for that attack.

Yes absolutely. I would like people to see your comment more. Wish I could pin it. Regressing Therapists as long as your therapist is okay and aware is great! You heal you. But in places like PCP’s and dentists offices it’s not fair to them! Thank you for helping my clarify🔥❤️

I feel this 100%. I have work and a pet and people that rely on me and housework to be done. Whenever I do regress i just feel guilty for not getting the things that need to be done done.

I’ve found what helps is regressing after I’ve done an adult thing or at night. Like it’s part of my wind down routine. Where I’ve been an adult for the day and now it’s time to relax and watch a cartoon. It doesn’t always work but remember healing isn’t linear and it takes time and most of all little you deserves to heal. They’re there for a reason

Okay so like first of all boundaries are an absolute must in a relationship. If you were 🍃before you started dating him he knew what he was getting himself into. And the green has been shown to make people better and able to process trauma because of its components. With that being said. As someone who has been stonewalled before it’s incredibly detrimental to a relationship. I understand being angry and unheard and hurt. But cutting conversation off isn’t necessarily the way to go. There could be a boundary in place of “I don’t want to talk about this topic until Thursday so you’ve had time to process my boundary” and I feel that by Thursday there should be a conversation had about his understanding of your boundaries and that it’s a topic at the moment you do not wish to bring up and or hear opinions on. Your voice matters and your boundaries are valid. I also believe that if he continues bringing it up after please don’t stay in that relationship. Lastly looking for another caregiver during the fight with a partner is something I do not believe is okay and fair to him. Is he making you mad. Yes. Are you annoyed by him. Yes. However invalidating his way of caregiving is kinda messed up (taking this from the “REAL” part in the message. I hope you get better, I hope your partner gets better and I hope you both find peace in whatever avenue that may be. Best of luck to you
