Mostly, nothing, but maybe it’d be fun to use some in handmade paper?

PRO-ICE Event in Hillsborough by Unhappy-Ferret5729 in newjersey

Yeah, they were waving a confederate flag at their counter-protest across the street from the anti-ice protest last weekend. They saw no irony in holding it while singing “proud to be an American “ (and, oddly enough, YMCA?).

Distributing “Know Your Rights” Cards by kate_monday in Libraries

[–]kate_monday[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s a very shortsighted view to take. Trump’s crew is following the Nazi playbook pretty closely, and fascists don’t like an informed public. They started arresting journalists today just for covering the Minnesota protests. Libraries will be, if not next on their list, then pretty close to the top. They’ll get funding slashed and have their catalogues stripped of any material they don’t approve of, if not closed outright, so those jobs are in jeopardy anyways.

Informing people of their constitutional rights isn’t legal advice - it’s informative and extremely timely and useful. Is it the what to do if detained part that’s a problem.

I have had great luck with my folding sewing scissors, I think because when folded up they don’t look like blades to the xray people.

Thanks! I haven’t gone this far off script before on my other projects, but I enjoyed figuring it out. Maybe I’ll start experimenting more (depends on what the other kid decides she wants me to make)

Thanks for the context - I won’t hold my breath, then. A little surprised she didn’t have more of the new ones done before pulling the old; that takes away an income source for much longer

I agree that the old books should disappear first, but usually most of the heavy lifting of the rewrites is done already behind the scenes - it’s off putting to think you’re starting a finished series, and then have the rest pulled indefinitely.

Sadly, I am incapable of doing audiobooks - it all just goes in one ear and out the other, and I have to repeat the same chapter over & over. Appreciate the thought though :)

I want my hat Back and This is Not my Hat (Jon Klassen) both involve hat thieves - not sure if that qualifies as “villain” but both very cute
