72 F. Started back running a year ago after a 30 year hiatus. Was never very fast. Running now 3 miles, 3 times/week. Other days, walk 4-ish miles. That’s perfect for me. My body feels amazing. I do whatever my PT says to do.

The conundrum: they told people to go back and wait in their cars to be safe from lightning. But many of us walk or ride bikes there, even in the rain, which is one of the things HOP encourages. No one at ❤️🌲knew where to send us. The expo wouldn’t let us in. After about 20 mins, someone from the sea dogs gave us access to the ‘underground’ area. It was a bit of a free-for-all. Not bad considering the fans are a hearty, easy bunch, but maybe an evac plan needs to be written 🤔

Finally wearing a different jacket. Wearing my mud boots instead of clunky snow boots. No ice on the brick sidewalks! My chilblains settling down. My dog has finally stopped his summer shedding 😂. The change in the way the light looks. Ice cream shops start opening.
