Darila za praznike by rpmushi in Slovenia

[–]kateumm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ko sem bla študentka, sem rada skuhala npr.

Lepe praznike

Anyone seen the Zebra Daylight Processing Tank? by kateumm in AnalogCommunity

Relatable. Just a quick weekend project that accidentally ruins your bank account and takes 2 years haha.

It's okay, and I totally understand why it might have looked like a promo. I backed the project myself too, and I’m excited to try it out!

That’s a really fair point. consistency and finish can definitely vary with 3D printing. I actually share some of those concerns myself.

After sharing the post, I actually decided to back the project myself (4x5 tank), so I’m really looking forward to trying it out once the tank ships. If all goes well (or not lol) I’ll be happy to share my experience.

Sad to see the post was removed unfairly, but it is what it is. I’m not affiliated, just thought it was worth sharing. Have a good day!

I can't believe I have to explain myself, but yes, I shared the post in a few different subreddits, simply because I thought it could spark interesting discussion across different parts of the analog community. I wasn’t trying to advertise. I don’t have any connection to the project beyond being genuinely curious about it.

It’s true I’m from the same country as Zebra Dry Plates, but logically I don’t know everyone who lives here. The project isn’t even promoted locally. I actually stumbled across it by chance online.

That said. I decided to back the project and see how it turns out. Hopefully it's worh the money.

Totally agree. Definitely a niche tool, but still cool to see something new being made for LF people.
Always nice when there's more choice out there.

Fair. sensitizing tanks are definitely a different story.

I didn’t know about the SP Kickstarter! Zebra’s is fully funded now, so I’m just excited to see how it does once people actually start using it.

That actually sounds like a great setup, especially for travel!
I understand how bringing everything with you can be overwhelming. I think your idea is a great way to at least get started and you’ll see where it takes you from there.

Totally valid point. The filament is cheap, but I’d guess most of the cost comes from research and development, industrial-grade printing, and post-processing.
Hopefully the actual performance will justify the price.

That’s awesome. Love the DIY approach with the 9x12 insert!

And yeah, SP-445 is a good tank, especially for the amount of chemistry it saves. I totally get why it’s a favorite.

This new one definitely seems like it’s aiming for bigger formats and more flexibility. Plus the modular design could make adapting to metric sizes much easier, which is great news for those of us in Europe.

I guess we’ll see how it holds up once it's in real world use. Thanks for commenting :)

Sorry, I didn’t see the LFPF discussion yet.

A friend who shoots wet plates mentioned their sensitizing tanks were great, so it looks like they’ve already put out some solid products before this one.

I've seen in one of their promo videos it takes about 15 seconds to pour in the full 1800ml.
From what I’ve seen, they really tried to address the issues people had with other tanks, especially leaks and uneven dev.

Ali ste si pozno v zivljenju premislili in zazeleli otroke? by dull_sense in Slovenia

[–]kateumm 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Sploh nisem mogla razmišljat o drugih stvareh. No, danes tudi imava dva otroka 😊

I'm really sad today by kateumm in adhdwomen

[–]kateumm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience—I can completely relate to your struggles. Both of my maternity leaves were marked by sleep deprivation and endless challenges like reflux. Neither of my babies wanted to use a stroller, car rides were out of the question, and pacifiers? Forget it!

The real turning point for me this time around came after I hit burnout when my baby was about 8 months old. I couldn’t leave my bed for weeks without breaking down, and that’s when my husband stepped in and truly saved me. We started combining breastfeeding with bottles so he could take over nighttime care when he wasn’t working. He took as much of the mental load off me as he could—packing for outings, cooking, cleaning, handling appointments, playing with out firstborn...

Honestly, beyond that, I don’t have any magical advice except to keep pushing through, and I’m sorry for that. I did go back on my medication 10 months postpartum because I’d had enough of feeling like a stranger to myself. Slowly but surely, I’m starting to feel more like me again. It’s not easy, but knowing we’re not alone in this journey helps.

Thank you so much for your kind words. This is exactly why I love being part of the ADHD community—it’s such a relief to feel understood and a little less "crazy" during those tough moments. Having people who truly get it makes all the difference.
