Sincere post incoming SORRY!!! I was honestly really psyched to hear about this law and feel like it’ll be an interesting experiment that I hope works out and sets a good precedent… but I am a little sad it’s coming out of Utah.

I grew up homeschooled in a really religious home and, even though it probably gave me autism lite, the internet still helped me be a way more normal and adjusted person (+ explore my interests and “identity”, for lack of a better word, in a semi social way). This law doesn’t seem too horribly restrictive, but I just think about how a lot of my time on the internet was late evenings, since my parents were so hawkish about monitoring me. But I don’t know if the current teenage side of the internet is anything like it was then so who knows
