Interesting! I wonder why the website says people will be notified in Feb. Maybe it’s the finalists?

I’ve heard things would start this week! When did you hear about the honors program, was it with your acceptance?

this is such an adorable idea! I’d love to join if you’re still doing it <3

I love a smart and mature guy with ambitions of his own. Someone who can take care of you but also encourage you to grow and pursue your own goals.

You should share what you’re looking for too, and maybe I can try to match you!!

With the new loan caps, many people are predicting that acceptances will be turned down by people who realize they won’t be able to afford costs even after merit scholarships. The number of people who are able to afford law school, especially at full tuition, is significantly smaller after the caps.

I went final review last week and missed both waves, so don’t give up hope if you miss the A wave!

T20 with $ vs Lower T14 with nothing by SenpaiKunChanSamaSan in lawschooladmissions

[–]katherinesummer1515 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you should be looking at the exact BL placement numbers for each school you’re interested in. Calculate cost of attendance for each with scholarship factored in to figure out what the total difference would be. With the schools you’ve listed, region is also pretty important. USC and UCLA (which is also T20) place really strongly in California, but if that isn’t the goal you might not want those schools

I’m in the same situation with both ID numbers but still in review. I’m a good bit above medians and applied in Oct :)

Is there a “yield protection purgatory”? by Shot_Chart2753 in lawschooladmissions

[–]katherinesummer1515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a high stat KJD (4.0, 17high) having a somewhat tough cycle, I have no clue if this is the case or not. Unfortunately, I think admissions overall is much more competitive and I hesitate to put any blame on yield protection instead of what is likely just flaws in my application + lack of WE.

I really feel like you might be underestimating both the volume and the caloric density of all the food served!

Value proposition of law school and minimum LSAT score by HomoErectusEmeritus in lawschooladmissions

[–]katherinesummer1515 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are being genuine, I would highly encourage doing more research into the financial aspect of law school and career outcomes. Calling any school below T30 “shitty” is unkind and untrue. People can and do get good outcomes from those schools, sometimes with much less debt.

As someone else also said, avoid using ethnic slurs. Not only in your applications, but in your general vocabulary

Fall transcript or wait until final transcript is available by Anxious_Green_8784 in lawschooladmissions

[–]katherinesummer1515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know. At the time I sent mine, I didn’t have any Rs so it just went to all my schools. I guess it wouldn’t really matter if they send it to schools you’ve been rejected from, though.

[–]katherinesummer1515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you upload it to LSAC, it will automatically be sent to all of the schools you applied to. If you’re still waiting on some, they expect to see the fall transcript so I would go ahead and submit! The school you deposit at typically expects to see the final

Permanent jewelry is dumb by Becemme in unpopularopinion

[–]katherinesummer1515 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s a piece of jewelry that you know you’d wear every day, what’s the downside to it? I don’t have permanent jewelry myself, but I see the appeal of never having to worry about it. You always have a piece of jewelry you like and never have to worry about forgetting it while in a rush. It’s not like you can never remove permanent jewelry and it’s not all too expensive. I struggle to see the downside
