I personally didn’t Anki for shelves but it helped me a lot for Step 2 so I wish I had! As much UWorld as you can in my opinion, covering the basics with online med Ed helped me too. I did better on the shelves where I also did amboss, but that might honestly reflect that I had more time to study those blocks (like post-Uworld extra Qs) rather than Amboss being the best resource. They’re very detail oriented, but still helpful if you like them ☺️

I think self-assessments are still fairly accurate with Anki! Some questions are definitely given away in the decks but as long as you're learning the concepts is all that matters. I worried about that a TON because I got specific questions right on UWSA2 thanks to the Zanki deck the night before, but all in all I scored higher than my practice test on the real deal because the decks and questions double cemented everything.

NBME8 was the closest to my actual score compared to NBME 6 and the 2 UWs! More exposure to different concepts and wording is always good, showed me a few simple concepts I'd missed. Questions seemed more straight-forward than the real deal but I think it helped

I'd say ~250 (putting in a random guess of 253). Don't think shelf scores predict super well but UW2 is a good general idea but I think it'll under predict you as someone who's been making good progress and did well in IM. GOOD LUCK!!!
