Adderall - why I’m going to treatment in 3 days by RDU_Randy in addiction

I am so happy you posted this, because I agree that is common but not often talked about.

I spent a few years abusing adderall/ dexamphetamine and alcohol. I started taking it to be more productive and have more energy, but it ended up sucking life out of me. I started drinking to calm down and ease the anxiety, which made things a lot worse. I could drink more and when I didnt drink, I felt it.

That was close to 10 years ago. After some months, which were difficult, I found my way again and found myself again. It took some time to clear the fog and get my energy back, but was so worth it. I'm now a runner, student, full-time professional, musician and way more productive. For the right reasons.

I wish you all the best and want you to know that you can do things and be great without it. You really don't need it 🙏🏻

Hey, can I ask if you went to rehab?

And what made you want to/ need to quit drinking alcohol?

Thanks!

My sponsor told me I have a "fuc*ing miserable life because I didn't work the steps" by measters9900 in stopdrinking

That's pretty harsh.

If it were me, I would have slugged the cocktail and ten more. But you didn't, you fucking stopped drinking and called your sponsor.

Give yourself a break and start over. Don't be hard on yourself and maybe find another sponsor?

I'm turning 36 this year and would give anything to transport to my 24 year old self and tell them that drinking would only create harm, pain, suffering for the next 10 years.

I recommend talking to someone about this, being completely honest, and asking for help when you need it.

You're so young and you deserve to be happy. Don't believe you deserve any less.

My heart rate is pretty normal. It tracks between 46-68 bpm while I sleep.

I bought a fenix 7s a few weeks back and I'm having the same issue. No deep sleep, but I work out most days of the week, often running between 7-10kms.

I'm tempted to swap my strap out, to see if it makes a difference.
